For what it is, a run down building and completely lacking any kind of curbside appeal, the food was good, service was fine and the bill was small! Not sure if I would choose it to go back but it certainly did the trick and filled me up for the afternoon. I highly recommend the soup of the day.

I can totally agree with others. This place isn’t much to look at. Rode hard and put away wet. Definitely could use a face lift. I get that. But– don’t let that fool you. The food here is great. The service is solid and you will leave full. Breakfast was a very sizable portion. Eggs, bacon, sausage etc was great. Our party was impressed with the quality and the tastiness. Only thing small was the check!

This place could use an upgrade in its customer service skills. It says to seat yourself and when we did try to sit at a table in the back the waitress was rude and told us we couldn’t sit there. We didn’t end up staying, but I’m sure the food would have been decent. Customer service goes hand and hand with running a good business.

We are snobby New Yorkers and we absolutely loved this place. We stopped in for lunch and the food was great, CHEAP, and fresh. The people who work there are so friendly. Faith in humanity restored. Tummy full. We’ll be back!

I was visiting just after Xmas and few places near my hotel were open so this was dinner. I started with soup that was under flavored but not bad. The main meal was the ‘meatloaf’ which was anything but, with a side of mashed potatoes. Both were drenched in a thick brown lumpy gravy. I eat everything and couldn’t finish this meal. My guest had eggs and he was happy with them. Servers were very nice.

Cute little diner on the beach route 113. Harvest Omelette was delicious. Nice people, good service, fast preparation, reasonable prices. What’s not to like? We would stop again when headed to the beaches.

We shot pass the Frankford Diner by accident and double-​downed our folly by stopping in here for breakfast on our way home from the beach. Not good. Laminated menus were dirty, religious station on a 20″ TV, food was barely average. Should have gone with my gut instinct and never went inside.

Good breakfast (and scrapple)! Very quick and friendly service. Very cheap prices. We went for breakfast while driving back to PA from Ocean City, and got our fill.

Great specials! Everything home-​made, open late, speedy service and great prices… Pies shipped in from Jersey. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was that it doesn’t have a beer/​wine license.

I agree that their breakfast is good. However, we will NEVER eat there for dinner again. My companion ordered a special — chicken cordon bleu. His first few bites were good (mostly batter and cheese) but then he discovered the inside of the chicken breast was nearly raw. When we summoned the waitress, her response was, «Well, I didn’t cook it»! Unbelievable! She didn’t offer to take it back. There was no manager present. When we got the check we had to suggest to her that perhaps we should get a credit. She grudgingly said she would not charge for our beverages but would not remove the chicken. Rather than prolong this awful experience we left. Do you think she got a tip?

Harvest Diner has never disappointed me with the menu choices or service which always seems to come with smiles. The soups have layers of flavor and the grilled seafood delicious. They do breakfast anytime.
