Kentucky proud for sure!!! Local fare that is wonderfully paired and crafted. The drinks are also unique but they have the domestics you expect too.

Nice ambience and attentive staff. Ordered the brussel sprouts and were pleased but needed more bacon and salt. My NY strip came out a ribeye that was cut unevenly and therefore not cooked properly. The chicken and dumplings were served in a broth, not a gravy thickened by the dumpling dough, of which we could only find one among a variety of vegetables that included beets. Will maybe try again but not soon.

This is a delightful restaurant. We stopped by on our way back from Atlanta. While it is a couple miles off of 75, the distance travelled is worth it. On Sundays, it is a buffet. I enjoyed that as I was able to sample a few of their dishes. Creamed cabbage was delicious. The salads were wholesome and tasty. The fried chicken was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside without being greasy. Dessert was a berry cobbler with fresh whipped cream and also tasted great. I noticed comments about service but had excellent service. Our server offered to hang our coats, ordered and served drinks promptly. All food is seasonal as it is sourced locally. The ambiance is a nice mix of country and contemporary as are the food selections.

The food and space are both on par with any big city restaurant. Honestly, this is the first place that introduced me to roasted radishes, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Their fried chicken and meatloaf are also insanely delicious. I don’t think I could make a trip to the Lexington area without eating here.

Love this place. Food is fantastic southern fare. I love the pick 3 starters option – gives you a way to sample several options. Bar is cool too!

Stopped in on a weekday night for a 1st visit based on Unilocal reviews. Found the atmosphere to be just ok… but really the food is the deal, right? Had the cheese tray appetizer which was delicious– but way too big for just 1 person… ideal for 2 – 3. Well worth it! Tried the cornbread order & if you like cornbread, you’ll love this. Had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes & glazed carrots with gravy… excellent! Gave it 4 stars because the atmosphere lacked— for me anyway. Well worth a visit if you enjoy excellently prepared food! Moderately priced

This place needs some real help in the service area. Yeah, several other reviews mention that too, but I purposely hadn’t read them until after my visit. I tend to do that with new restaurants. I’m pretty fair on new places. I’ve waited a bit to visit… it’s been open a few months now. Although it’s quite close to downtown Georgetown, it’s in a weird location. It’s in a neighborhoodlike area. The building it’s self, even looks like a house. Once you get directly in front of the building you’ll notice LOCALFEED painted boldly on the building, so it’s not hard to spot. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, and were told to seat ourselves. The bar was inviting, but we decided to sit at at a table. The waitress brought out the waters and I asked for lemon. The waters were in small glasses, and I must admit that she did good keeping them filled, but didn’t bring out the lemons. The menu and the entire place reminded me of County Club, in Lexington. The menu is pretty limited, but has a few signature items, like deviled eggs and brussel sprouts. I opted for the biscuit and gravy and my husband got the eggs benedict. I’m a big eater, and I was only able to finish half of my biscuit and gravy. My husband’s meal was huge! Both of our meals had a faint spice that I didn’t care for, one that I couldn’t quite name. Neither meals were bland though. Overall, I wouldn’t hurry back.

There are few places you can eat anymore that mix the nostalgia of childhood family gatherings and the quality of upscale in the same place. Local Feed hits the mark and exceeds our expectations every visit. The Fried Chicken, macaroni-n-cheese and cornbread are always good choices. Friendly wait staff and plenty of empty seats during the week. The best part is they take reservations! We will continue to enjoy this Scott County culinary gem until the word gets out and then we won’t mind standing in line.

This is our new favorite. The Bourbon drinks are outstanding, a great wine selections and local brews to choose from. My husband hates Brussel sprouts and he ate all mine… yeah they are that good. They have seasonal fare and all local sources. We’ve been there several times and have not had a thing to complain about. The fried chicken is out of this world… the steaks with roasted radishes made my taste buds sing. The desserts are made by angels… we always leave a little over stuffed as we definitely over indulge every time we eat here. They have a lovely patio and the inside is very warm and welcoming. We also love to do the three Started for 18. We usually get the special the beets and those Brussel sprouts… those little roasted green balls of food heaven! Put this place on your to do list and eat good local food! This place makes me happy we bought our farm here and settled in KY! Now If I could just learn how to make those sprouts!

Glad I Unilocaled and found that this place existed! Great addition to Georgetown. Didn’t like kale until now — braised kale is delicious. Mashed potatoes were very good and buttery. Fried chicken and chicken and dumplings both good entrees. We’ll be back!

Best food I’ve had in Georgetown. First visit here and I’ll definitely be back. Chris the waiter was fantastic, attentive but not intrusive. His choices were right on the mark. The poutine was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I really can’t stress how good that dish was. The chicken and dumplings was also very good. Nice mix of white and dark meat, dumplings not at all gummy like you find so often. Cornbread had a crispy crust but crumbly on the inside as it had been actually cooked in a cast iron skillet, not just served in it. Yes there is a hipster vibe, but nothing wrong with that. Food tasted fresh and flavorful with a little twist. Loved it.

Our server was awesome. Very attentive and informative, he made everything on the menu(even things I wouldn’t pick normally) sound amazing. Beer selection was good and seemed to have a good bar. My boyfriend got the burger and macaroni. I got the fried chicken and radishes. Both well worth the money

I have been here a couple times now and the food is delicious. Macaroni and cheese is very cheesy and filling. The cornbread is served in a skillet with wonderful sorghum butter and the side salad is well worth the $ 5! The prices of the entrées reflect the local produce and hand selected meats, so expect to pay $ 20+ per person. As for the cocktails, they are perfect. The specialty drinks are written on a mirror in the bar. The syrups are house made! I hate when I get a cocktail with a pre-made sugary mixer.

I’ve been excited for months about this restaurant opening. It was worth the wait. The décor inside is classy and trendy with the exposed brick. They have ample outdoor seating. We went on a Sunday and had the buffet. We had salad, heirloom tomatoes with blue cheese, chicken and dumplings, roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread and berry cobbler. Everything was really delicious. They have a large selection of craft beers as well as cocktails and wine. This is a great addition to Georgetown.
