Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I were starving and figured we would try this place out. It was a thursday around four and the restaurant wasnt even busy. By the time we got our food FORTY minutes later it was cold. Im assuming while we watched our server talk to other servers and not enter the kitched for some time. Our food was freezing. We asked her to please heat it up because we were in a rush, she rudly huffed and puffed while walking away. When we got it back it was now way too cooked to even eat. The server NEVER asked why we had only a bite out of our meals. Our bill was over 70.00. I am so disgusted with this place and will not reutrn. As a restaurant owner myself service is the most important thing in any restaurant, get some new attentive servers who care about your business succeeding and I may return.

One star only because no stars isn’t an option. Bottom line-if you aren’t a local, don’t bother. Walked in and hostess was nice(even brought us water) then we were flat out ignored for the next. idk 15 – 20 min even by servers walking right next to our table. Whatever. Enjoyed our meal down the road.

We’ve been to The Spot handful of times now & have been happy with our experience each time. We generally sit at the bar and have always had pleasant interactions with the bartenders. Most recently we were there on a Thursday evening and it was packed! Service was a little slower than usual but it was to be expected, there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. We are frequent visitors to all of the Setenitee restaurants and are happy to have one in our hometown now. Although The Spot isn’t my favorite of their restaurants I think in time it will only get better. Pros: Excellent tap selection, sushi & burgers on the same menu(typical Serenitee style), friendly staff, and fun«nights»(i.e. Trivia, Ladies, Sushi) Cons: Food can be somewhat inconsistent(one night, Awesome! Next night, underwhelming)

Waiting over 30 Minutes for a pork belly taco… As an appetizer Then watching the waitress making fun of you at the kiosk to her fellow servers. Not good. Taco was so bland. And gross. Kale wit pork belly on a corn tortilla. Gross. Several empty tables… There is no excuse

Stopped into the spot for lunch — a little pricy, but excellent food. I had the short rib sandwich — at $ 18 with onion rings it better be good! And it was: tasty tender meat cut thick, sautéed onions, melted cheese on a fresh ciabatta roll with a thick juicy dipping sauce. A pile of thick cut onion rings. And good service. I wish a burger wasn’t $ 10 and a sandwich $ 16, but at least you’ll enjoy them and the tap list is pretty good.

I’ve been here a few times with my husband and we really like. Sushi is fresh and drinks are good. Decent selection of beers on tap if you like that. Menu is homemade /comfort foods for the most part but good. Nice to have a local place worth going to.

This has become my local go to spot. The food is solid and service is friendly. Burger is really tasty. Wings are average but they have 50 cent wing specials and dollar oyster specials. While I do like this place and will continue to go I feel everything is a couple of dollars too much. $ 16 for 2 fish tacos is steep. Get a loyalty card. Gets you a free app right off the bat.

Ugh… had good hopes for this after talking with a friend. Average food, average service, average décor and atmosphere at an average price. Very disappointing considering we drove 20+ miles for just«average» all the way around.

Although the Spot had some growing pains when they first opened, it is now my favorite place to frequent on the north shore. Food is great, atmosphere is lively and fun, waitstaff is friendly and inviting, and the bartenders are fun. I frequent the place with friends and family every week. Music, trivia, locals night, girls night, etc… All good stuff. Two suggestions: take-out takes too long, and place is outgrowing its space already. But overall, you can’t go wrong here.

My wife and I ate at The Spot on Tuesday Trivia Night. We had a very pleasant waitress who was friendly and attentive. We ordered the $.50 wings which were meaty and tasty. It’s a little hokey the wings are served al a carte requiring you to pay $.75 each for carrots & celery and blue cheese dressing. From there we ordered 3 different sushi rolls which were also quite good. The trivia was good but not great. The host had very little enthusiasm and the questions were mostly boring and dated. I’d like to see a host with some more personality and ask more relevant questions. Overall, we had a good experience. I would definitely return.

Went here on a Wednesday night. Crowded bar but found a seat. Got a well made stoli raz madress. Ordered a cup of house made chili. It was good. Wish it came with crackers or something but thats ok. Now for the reason for 4 stars. The BURGER. It was top 10 burgers of my life. Served on a brioche bun, cooked perfectly and served with what looks like house cut fries. Awesome. I even went back two nights later for another burger, hoping it wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t. The burger was great. The bathroom was clean and stocked. Only bummer is that it seems like once people get a seat at the bar they are there for the night. Highly recommended this place.

We just moved to the local surroundings, and we’ve already sampled the Spot’s wares three times. The last two times were really very good — once a baked haddock and mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus. Sounds simple, right? That haddock was totally perfect, and the asparagus was just charred but still had bite. So good. Last time I had a caterpillar roll that was both lovely and delicious. The boy is satisfied with their veg options, which is nice for a small town. Service is fun and friendly. Beware the Spot Russky cocktail — it’s dangerously delicious.

Missed the spot this time. 30 minutes«ticket time» from order to food with only one(albeit large) party in front of us. I had the $ 18 meatloaf entrée. It didnt have any of the bourbon and maple flavor described on the menu, and the accompanying«potato croquettes» were bland mashed potatoes formed into a patty and dropped in a fryer. 2 in the group had GREAT burgers, and 2 who had salad with steak tips found the steak tough. Will still return as its a good spot indeed, just need better luck with my meal choice and kitchen speed.

Passing through town, there wasn’t much to choose from for lunch, so expectations were low, but shouldn’t have been. I had an exceptional burger and, because I could, salmon nigiri for an apetizer. The bartender was also super friendly. I’ll be back next time I’m in Georgetown.

I agree with the guy with the shaky table. What’s with that? Get a new one. We, too, experienced the«you can’t sit there.» in the bar area. At the high tops, if you’re not eating, you can’t sit in the bar and have a drink at a table. Again, what’s with that? You sit, have a drink and decide to eat something or you meet friends and with their drink prices they will make more than they would on the food. Not very friendly of them, and I’m not encouraging over serving anyone. It’s just too expensive for what it is, a local spot to stop in for a drink and good food. If the food was better and worth what you’re paying, I wouldn’t feel that way. They are a bit pretentious but I guess Georgetown is trying for upscale. For me it’s been inconsistent. Good sushi but there are much better places to go. Maggie’s Farm for one. Owned by the same group.

I’m not sure what happened. I think I arrived shortly after a company shamming/employee meeting. I sat at the bar and quickly noticed a beer on tap I wanted, no problem. Upon being served my beer the bartender turned to the manager on duty and stated the following remark… «we won’t get a corporate complaint about that pour, its perfect, you should take a picture». I was left thinking, did I do something I’m unaware of? I knew 2 thing; 1) I don’t order food here because its terrible at best. 2) I write reviews on Unilocal… did I write something?(which I have not until now). I’m not sure what’s going on here, if you’ve been receiving customer feedback it means that your customers want to let you know not just when you’re doing well, but when something is wrong. I didnt hear anyone complain about positive feedback, time to muster up and accept negative feedback and do something positive about it.

I liked it ! They were kid friendly, the food was good and the staff was friendly. Food came out quickly and correctly, and they have a good selection of beers. I like it ! I will be back. Cool little bar area too.

We went at 7:00 pm on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. Not too many people were waiting so it would not have taken long but there was a sit at the bar so we took it. The full menu can be served at the bar so it was not a problem. Overall, the place was very family friendly, but not too small-town feeling. It definitely fills a void that Georgetown has left open for a while in towns of sit down dinner spots. The bar had a lot of interesting local beers and the bar tenders seemed pretty adept at making what was asked of them. My Newburyport Belgian white(draft) was $ 5.50. One unique thing this place has is a sushi chef. Though georgetown doesn’t seem like a sushi kind of place, it was being ordered a lot. The sushi chef was in my line of sight(just next to the bar) and I got to watch him work. He never stopped making sushi. It was really cool to watch actually. Every restaurant should have a hipster making sushi in the corner! The California roll was exactly what it should have been. The Spot burger was cooked to perfection and it was a nice touch that you could get a side salad in lieu of fries. Didn’t have dessert or an appetizer but they all looked promising. Next time I’m going to get the wild mushroom macaroni and cheese. Though a strong sense of community there it definitely has an up and coming feeling that will also appeal to a younger crowd.
