Village Pizza and Subs is one of our favorite pizza and sandwich shops in town! The prices are fair, the service is great, and the food is delicious. The pizza is thin crust with a great sauce and always crisp and excellent! I also recommend coming to village any morning or on weekends for breakfast. The omelettes and breakfast sandwiches are amazing.

The thanksgiving sandwich I have gotten here is so good. When I’m in the area I like to stop in. Too far away to go to on the regular. The rest of the food I’ve had is just your normal sub shop food. Nothing I can’t get somewhere closer to where I live. Village has been around forever and used to be one of few places to eat in georgetown. With similar places like pomodoris and the new flatbread pizza in town, village has some good competition.

The Village is a small pizza/sub/‘locals’ breakfast shop in Georgetown center. I have ate lunch and dinner here many times, and can say this is ‘good’ food, but certainly not great. Orders are cooked a little more consistently than some local joints, but the food has never been anything that has left me wanting to come back for more. The pizza orders I’ve placed have tasted good, but were always extremely greasy and didn’t have a great topping balance. All the subs I’ve had are average which isn’t bad, but there wasn’t anything too exciting about them. Customer service is consistently so-so. Prices are about average. There’s a lot of competition with all the Pizza restaurants in the greater Newburyport area, and these guys don’t really seem to be willing to rise to the occasion. Good place to eat lunch if you are in the area and hungry, but nothing to go out of your way to visit unfortunately.

So Village pizza is a staple in Gtown. The place is kinda dingy and needs to be remodeled. That being said, I have noticed a dramatic improvement with their pizza. The crust is greatly improved. The outer crust no longer invades the cheese and topping part of the pizza(its only about an inch wide all around). Our meatball topping is cut into cubes and uniformed. The past few times, the pizza has been cooked perfectly. I think there may be a new improved pizzamaker back there. Whatever the case, I hope it continues.

I used to be a huge fan of Village however my options have changed. The subs are decent, except they do not know how to make a Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Parm is always dry, they put chicken on a dry roll with some cheese and put a small splash of sauce on the top of the bread. The pizza is thin and has a very salty taste and seems to be very oily. As for the calzones, they are flat, dry and look very sad and depressed and taste like it too. Pomodori down the road is a better choice.

Hands down I had one of the best Greek Chicken Cabob salads I have ever had. The marinated chicken and salad dressing was very good. My husband had pizza and said it was good. I will definitely return. Debbie U.

I used to love the village — even promoting the pizza when ordering with the family!!! They would rather order elsewhere. We finally order pizza! I had ordered this chicken bacon and ranch dressing there before. It was delicious. I ordered it several times. When I pick up the pizza it was disgusting. It has red sauce and everything. When I call to say they made the pizza wrong the young lady on the phone argued with me. So I am lying about the previous pizza I had??? She was horrible with customer service. With all the local competition you would think they would be more willing to please the customer. Go to DeLeos. It’s the best!

Perfect for delivery! I ordered 3 pizzas and wings and wasn’t disappointed. They delivered within their estimated time frame, and all food was perfectly hot. My 3 kids enjoyed the wings(without sauce) and basic cheese pizza while my husband loved the«new» Southern BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza. Their 3-topping cheese had generous amounts my chosen toppings(eggplant, pineapple and artichoke hearts). I look forward to trying more items from their new menu, including the Mesclun Salad.

Not happy. Ordered a Lg cheese pizza, chef salad, and large sub with $ 20 coupon, not a bad deal. The coupon doesn’t mention substitutions so asked about a chef salad instead of kabob salad, girl on phone said no. «Even though chef is cheaper the owner said no» Ok? So to save a few bucks ordered small pizza, small sub, chef salad… According to menu that’s about $ 18.00, girl stated $ 23.50. What?! «The menu prices are wrong, we get a lot of complaints about this»…that’s nice. I asked to speak to the owner, coincidentally he left while I was still on phone, and was not allowed to call him on the cell. We order from this shop 2 – 3 times a week and have had great food, beyond friendly service, and quick delivery(30 mins). Not being able to discuss my disagreement with the owner or some type of management figure is unacceptable, we cancelled our order and will look elsewhere going forward, very unfortunate as I’ve recommended this place to many friends and family in the Georgetown/Groveland area and plan to share this experience with them. More than happy to rewrite or remove this review once I speak with owner. My contact number was left with your staff.

This is still the best sub shop in town though they have slipped some over the years. As a long time resident of Georgetown, this has and still is the only place we get subs. What I have seen over the years is the size of the sub shrink. They used to offer a very big«large» size, loaded with meat. Now its shrunk to a very average size for the same money. I suppose its a sign of the times but it is no longer special. Even so, it hands down beats places like subway where everything is weighed and measured

We used to be regulars ordering 2 – 3 times per week. I have become sick TWICE from their breakfast sandwiches so I stopped eating there altogether. The food is usually decent but the delivery service is terrible. The breakfast burrito is a killer(sarcasm)

Update: The waitress messed up my order and could have cared less. atleast pretend to care or maybe compensate me rather than«oh sorry». This is common here and unfortunate because the food is good when you get what you ordered. Place is also incredibly slow for breakfast, so if you don’t have a good hour to spend having breakfast, don’t go here.

We usually use this place as a delivery meal service in Groveland. The food is always good, and delivery at most times takes around 45 minutes. I’m very happy with the burgers and subs, and I once had a calzone that was huge and would have fed three. They don’t deliver breakfast, but I had a takeout, and their version of Hash and Eggs was the best of the three places I tried.

They have pretty good food when you pick up your food. Their fries, pizza, and subs are my favorite! Although, when you get something delivered it takes an hour to get there. I guess that’s not too bad but c’mon, it’s Georgetown. it’s a pretty small town. I got something delievered from Groveland and it didn’t take them as long to deliver. I have never been there for breakfast but I really want to because I have heard it is the best!

Solid place with good food. Pizza is good, subs are great. Waits for food can be pretty long at lunch time, sometimes making an hour lunch break seem tight, even though it’s right down the street from where I work. Plenty of street parking and there’s always one or two open tables. I definitely recommend the place if you’re not in too much of a rush, or can call in your order before you get there.

Great food, I LOVE the pizza and the sweet potato fries the most! Burgers are decent, subs are better. The salads are really really good too! Delivery tends to take awhile, sometimes up to an hour and they often forget something. Most times they redeliver the forgotten item in no time and are always really nice about it.

I have been stopping into this place for years to get a slice on the go. It’s the best NY style pizza around. Just picked up 2 pies to serve to my parents while they’re visiting and they both loved it as well. We live in Ipswich and there is no good pizza in our area. I would go out of my way to get pizza here but my husband prefers Chicago style so only get to get it on the go typically.
