First off this place is really close to our house so the first time we went, fingers crossed. Nothing like a good neighbor bar. This sadly is not a good neighborhood bar. 1. Food is greasy. 2. Service is slow Overall the menu is good, the food is average and greasy at times. The service was slow both times we went. We did go back a second time, again it is really close to the house and we were hoping for a new local place to go hang out. It was not to be. Oh well. Maybe next time!

Very friendly and patient staff! Food was solid, on time. Great deal and you get more value than Buffalo Wild wings

I really wanted to like this bar/restaurant, but I left wanting to not come back. The lighting and atmosphere is simply depressing. They had appetizer specials, and the price should have given it away, but they were tiny. The mozzarella sticks were literally the size of my pinky. My husband and I ordered a set of wings, they were entirely too spicy. Like fire breathing, esophagus closing hot! We each had one and than expressed our dissatisfaction to our server. Generally in a restaurant, they’ll ask you if you’d like something else, or have it removed from the bill. Neither happened, she simply removed our plate with 80/90% remaining. In addition, we were charged an additional 75c each for ranch and celery. I don’t understand how you can pride yourself on your wings, yet use frozen over-breaded and reheated wings. Anyone can make a sauce to throw on top. My six year can come up with sauces to make! Use real pieces of chicken; that will help! A second waitress/bartender tried way to hard to earn a tip from my husband. Stay classy lady, it goes a long way. Playing pool was fun and inexpensive, however the tables are very poorly maintained. They are dusty and dirty, and *ahem* the balls aren’t much better. If I touched them, I instantly felt I needed a good hand washing or sanitizer. Overall, the establishment seems to have poor management that doesn’t care much for the upkeep. You need more than a pretty flirtatious face to bring customers back in. And for the love of chicken wings, do something about the boneless wings… Or change your name!

Worse customer service and the food was bad. Way too salt. Took 30 minutes to get extra ranch. The waitress was too rude when we complained the quality of the food. Would never go again.

I will start with the positives. There are a lot of televisions, so it’s a great place to see a game. There are about 5 pool tables, it is only $ 2 to play. The wings are amazing. Now with the bad. I was playing pool at this place yesterday around 12am. This place advertises closing hours to be 2 am on Fridays. The times are advertised on the front door and on their website. One of the waitresses goes up to us and another couple that was also playing pool and notifies us that we are not allowed to play another game and that the current game had to be the last one and that we had to start making our way out. This occurred at 1:05 am. When another waitress walked by I kindly asked«why are you closing early it says on the front door that you close at 2 and on your website.» She responds«well if people stay we stay open.» At that moment I got very confused and told her«but we will stay untill close and that the couple over there will also stay.» In addition the bar had about 6 – 8 people. She walked away as if I was giving her trouble to voice my opinion and my concern as a patron. Shortly after another waitress comes to me very aggressively and says«I heard you being rude to the waitress.» I immediately told her«I am not being rude I am just confused why you are not letting us play and kicking us out before the advertised time.» She then proceeded to say«just get the fuck out now.» I told her«as a costumer that is definitely not the way I should be treated.» She then said«I do not give a fuck leave» and then she walked away. As I was getting my things the couple that was there next to us told me it’s okay and this type of behaviour is normal. They also let me know that they will not be coming again since this is now several times the staff are entitled to do what they want and close early. The man also told me he has tried complaining to the manger but either the manager is ruled by his employees or he just doesn’t care. I will close this review with saying I will NEVER go back there. However if you were to go in normal hours you are more than likely to not experience the worst of their service.

Great variety of wings, sauces, sports on TV, and ice cold tap, all at a great price. Doesn’t get any better

Yesterday afternoon I was in between appointments with clients and feeling hungry. I decided to go to BWB to get one of their buffalo tender wraps. Upon arrival, I sat myself at the bar. The only server/bartender working was a woman in her late 30s, early 40s(I am not sure but I believe her name was Linda). I then ordered the wrap with Rooster sauce. Fifteen minutes later Linda delivered my wrap. After taking the first bite, I immediately noticed that the chicken tenders had not been coated in Rooster sauce(there was no sauce at all – they were naked). I politely informed Linda about the situation, and her response was«Let me go ask the cook». I found this response to be rather strange, since the only thing I felt which could come from her doing so was that she would return to tell me that the cook either admitted to forgetting the sauce(in which case the wrap would need to be remade), or to say that he had put sauce into the sandwich(telling me my taste buds are lying). Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. She returned and said«Yea, the cook said he put sauce in the wrap but here you go anyways». At which point, she provided me a bowl of sauce, expecting that I eat the wrap as-is, and simply dip it into the sauce as I see fit. I looked at her, and politely said«Well, I’d really like the wrap to be redone if possible»(I had business meetings to attend to later on and did not want the mess of dipping a large burrito wrap into a bowl of sauce). She replied«Okay, whatever. You don’t got to take it out on me». She then grabbed my plate, and walked back to the kitchen, making sure to dump the food into the trash can at the bar(in plain view of me). Her reaction was rude and unprofessional. I was not rude with her about my request, so I don’t know why she said«you don’t need to take it out on me». Furthermore, I felt that by making a show of dumping the food out in front of me, she was passive-aggressively trying to make the point that she felt I was being difficult. As a former server and restaurant manager, I feel that any restaurant employee with even a minimal standard of customer service skills could have handled the situation differently. To begin, after I notified her that I was not happy with the dish, she shouldn’t have departed to go talk with the cook. Nothing good can come from that, except awkward confrontation. Secondly, instead of remedying the situation by providing me a bowl of sauce to dip my wrap into, she should have simply asked«Sir, would you like me to have your wrap remade, or, would you like me to provide you with additional sauce». By giving the customer the choice, she could have shown that she cares about the customers dining experience. Her unilateral decision to give me a bowl of sauce(expecting me to accept the wrap as-is) just reflects poorly on the whole establishment. Imagine if you were to order a rib eye at Outback, and you order it cooked well done. Now, imagine that the steak which is set before you is medium-rare. How would you feel if, upon bringing this to the attention of the server, he/she handed you a lighter and said, «Here you go»(implying that you can cook it more yourself to get the desired outcome). Well, frankly, I think such a preposterous scenario is no different than bringing me a bowl of sauce and telling me that my naked wrap should simply be dipped into the sauce. So, she finally brought me the new wrap which was fine. After finishing it, I asked for my check whereupon I noticed I had been charged $ 0.75 for ranch. When she was taking my original order she asked me «Do you want ranch or blue cheese on that»? To which I replied, «I’d prefer to have ranch on the side». To my genuine surprise, apparently BWB charges for ranch and blue cheese – which is fine if they’d like to(after all, many people may be familiar with this place’s ridiculous policy when it comes to water). What is not okay is asking a patron unfamiliar with this policy which dressing they would prefer(in a matter-of-fact way), without any mention or warning of an upcharge. In other words, if an establishment chooses to charge for items that the general pubic would largely expect to be complimentary(tap water, silverware, ketchup, mustard, ice cubes, air) but for which a greedy owner chooses to charge for – that’s fine. But from an ethical standpoint, such an establishment should forewarn patrons about such unorthodox charges so that there aren’t any unpleasant surprises when it comes to paying the bill(and while the owner of BWB could claim such policies are in fine print in the menus – I would argue that most people aren’t going to read an entire menu like a textbook and therefore, the server should verbally make sure the customer is aware of these policies). Long story short. Another piss poor performance from an establishment clearly not being managed by someone seeking to enhance the Buffalo Wings and Beer brand or business.

1st time here. Server just told us they only serve water in a bottle. That’s a little weird considering it’s not an upscale restaurant. They have Wednesday specials on wings BUT, you can only have the same kind of sauce on ALL of them. Then they have the pool tables which are self serve and badly kept. You can’t claim Having billiards and NOT up keep the tables. After we played pool a little while, we noticed they had dart boards. BUTITSBRINGYOUROWNDARTS! Now going back to the wings. Wednesday wing specials DONOT come with choice of blue cheese or ranch. You only get wings and the sauce you choose! THEYCHARGE For the ranch or blue cheese!!! I have NEVEREVER seen a Wing place charge extra for ranch or blue cheese! Not to mention, NOFREEREFILLS! When it came down to paying, we tried to split the check. BUT!!! They ALLHAVETOBETHESAME credit card! No mixing visa, MasterCard, Amex. Nope. They all have to be one or the other. So all in all, No refills Sauce is extra Poorly kept equipment Water is only served in a bottle Only 1 choice of sauce on your ENTIRE order Dart boards, no darts When paying by credit, must all be same company Wings were very dry. Never, NEVER will I return again.

During football season, my husband and I are here every Sunday for wings and beer. The wings are honestly the best around! They have great flavors and they always come out quick. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 is because it can be hard to gain the staff’s attention when you first sit down, as the place allows you to seat yourself. If you love wings, I recommend the Wet Old Bay, Roasted Garlic, Insane, and Sweet & Tangy. Enjoy!

I’ve given this place about 6 tries in the past year and everytime I go back, I hope that it is better. Last week I tried it again and was appalled by the continued rude, unprofessional service. This is a typical establishment that is owned and/or managed by a horrible leader with zero coaching skills and doesn’t give a shit about anything. This is the only reason why I would get such consistent deplorable service and attitudes over a 12 month period. Stay away… they won’t be around long.

My boyfriend and I came in for dinner. It took 5 minutes for a server to come to the table and even longer to order our food. We got a Philly steak and cheese, boneless wings and the Buffalo chicken dip. The steak and cheese was awesome, wings were ok but the dip was so spicy and the texture was weird, one bite was enough. It took a while to get a check too. Our server was nice and took the dip off our check. Overall we just felt like we were forgotten at our table. Don’t think we will be going back unfortunately.

On my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised. I went to BWB with a friend of mine last night. We sat at the high bar tops, multiple servers acknowledged us. After the first round of drinks, we were engaged by Stephanie. She was amazing. She made recommendations for beer and let us try the BWB Red ale, of which we ordered more. We ordered a plate of the NEW fried chicken(AWESOME) and she added we should try the Chicken Philly, her personal favorite. We ordered it «Steph’s way» which was mayo, onion, mushroom, in a wheat wrap. Delicious! We enjoyed her recommendations, personality, and engagement. We normally love eating wings, Rooster sauce and Garlic /Cajun mix. Ask for the garlic Cajun drained ;-) New sweet and tangy wing sauce is also great if you are tired of buffalo sauce on your wings.

I wasn’t too impressed. First off: the wings didn’t blow my socks off. If you have ‘buffalo wing’ in your restaraunt name, you better nail it. Plus the ambience was akin to dining in a not so well lit cave(but with plenty of TVs for sports, a plus). The service was slow too. They had two waitresses for the whole joint. This place better hope that a Buffalo Wild Wings doesn’t open in Germantown.

I came back on a Saturday shortly after they opened for some wings and beer, a much better experience than last time. It wasn’t too crowded and service was excellent. The wings came out quick and were very well done as were the seasons fried(they’re just seasoned with old bay but good nonetheless). I’ll come back again for sure.

Used to love the BWB in Gaithersburg. Went there all the time. It had consistently good food and friendly service. Once it closed, we decided to try this one in Germantown thinking, how different could it really be? Well, let’s just say we should have left it to live on as a fond memory. We sat at the bar where there appeared to be 3 – 4 bartenders but none who would actually wait on us. These bartenders were very wrapped up with some drama going on with another patron who apparently walked out on a check. Overheard one of them tell the guy’s friend that she just charged it to his card and hoped that was ok. The guy was mad(understandably) and an argument ensued between him and the bartender. Seems fairly illegal to me but anyway. This was all followed by a bunch of gossiping and smack-talking by all these bartender/servers and still no service. This was in the middle of a busy Friday night. Finally got waited on… order was late/wrong/forgotten. Burgers came out beyond well done(ordered med). They were dry as sawdust and had about 1 ring of onion and 1 pickle and one dime-size squirt of mustard. Wings finally came out and they were so oversalted, they were all but inedible. The worst part of this evening really had to be the service though. I rarely ever say anything like this but these bartender/waitresses were immature, unprofessional, bitchy, rude and plain old dirty. We watched one pick a straw and some other stuff out of the sole of her shoe and then touch clean glasses to pour drinks. We’ve actually witnessed this type of behavior at the Gaithersburg location as well(sick waitress with a runny nose who was sitting at the bar eating and licking her fingers while blowing and wiping her nose… and then pouring drinks and picking up patrons’ food from the window with no handwashing involved) but we really thought that was an isolated incident. Apparently not based on the things we saw these Germantown servers do. Not sure what’s going on in the back if THIS is what they allow up front **shudder** These events, coupled with the fact that they charge you FORWATER and other similar nonsense, pretty much signify the end of our BWB days.

Disappointing. Came here with my kids for lunch. There was only 1 person working the entire restaurant and bar area. No one greeted us at the hostess stand. Another customer told me there was no hostess and I should seat myself. Guess someone called in sick or no-showed. Server was nice and helpful, but she was overwhelmed as she was trying to do 3 peoples jobs(server, bartender, and hostess). Food was average at best. They have pool tables, dart boards, video games, and lots of good TVs. So the setup has potential, but my experience was underwhelming. There are too many well run sports bars for me to give this one anything more than 2 stars.

Wings here are good, but pricey. Beer pitchers are cheap, but that is not why I’m here. I am here because of the poor customer service as well as the busty servant whom my friends and I used to be usual customers to. They don’t really give a shit here, nope. not at all. Some peasants will not wipe the tables if their lives depended on it, as well as bringing back finished dishes. And not only will they leave you eating on a dusty and sticky table, they will expect at least twenty percent tips. dun. dun. DUN. That having said, couple nights ago, as I obnoxiously laughed loudly at something my friend did, I spotted our beer serving peasant rolling her eyes and making a flagrant dissatisfying face at me. MEH.
