Ella David Salon

The staff at Ella David were all very friendly. Shawn is an amazing stylist and very friendly. I’ve heard about her through a friend and finally went to her after having a couple not so great hair cuts at another salon. She has made my hair look the best it has in a long time. I will be coming back to her.

My regular stylist no showed for my appointment. Stressed, I drove to Ella David to see if anyone had openings. Susan took care of me later the same day and I was totally pleased. Everyone there was professional and pleasant.

Warning. I’m a cryer. No seriously. I have been known to cry after hair cuts. So, I am absolutely and totally THAT girl. I’m okay with that! When it comes to these locks, I have had some really whack jobs!
Thankfully, no tears were shed at Ella David Salon. I have been back in the Memphis area for about 2 years, and attempted one other salon locally and cried. So, for the last 2 years, I have been flying back to my beloved Vikki Veach in Houston to have my hair cut and colored. Until Friday… not just any Friday but VALENTINE’S day. UGH! No pressure, Holly.
So, I made an appointment to see Holly. She was sweet and kind. She was thoughtful and supportive of my crying history (which she was warned about prior to my arrival). She understood. Thank goodness! Those that don’t understand, shouldn’t really be messing with my hair to begin with.
She did a fantastic job. She ran ON TIME (which never happens). And she took her tame caring for my precious locks. I appreciated the conversation and discussions of healthy hair and how to help me style my hair.
They made a believer out of me… Memphis is officially a place I can get my hair cut!!! My wallet thanks you (those flights were getting expensive :-))

Ella Davis is the perfect place to get your hair done! I have been visiting several salons lately and they have dramatically messed up my color. So i googled and found Ella Davis Salon. I brought in a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and she did exactly that! As I went to pay I thought, oh great I cant wait to see how much it is, since I usually get ripped off at other salons. It was only $ 90.00 for a full hair color! I went to Genny and she was great! My mom and friend go to her to and their hair looks beautiful! If you are looking for that perfect hair salon Ella Davis is your go to salon!

I got my hair cut by Holly Long here today and I have to report that it was a great experience. She listened, looked at the pictures I brought her for reference (instead of the one look, I got it attitude I have unfortunately experienced before) and gave me a wonderful cut. She also gave me advice on how to color and style my hair in detail. Holly is funny, friendly and serious about her work, go see her!
