My main problem is that the library has implemented Pharos in a manner that can cause issues for all users. If you don’t press any of the keys within a 4 minute period during your 2 hour segment, the system will log you out. I understand limiting the general public to no more than 2 hours a day, and students to 3 2-​hour segments, based on the fact that the population of MC is always growing.
However, it is my understanding that as a result of the 4 minute policy, students are losing term papers, essays, (and probably on-​line tests) as a result. The librarian who is in charge needs to fix this issue or have the college’s support staff fix this issue. The 4 minute policy makes no sense, and this is the main reason I have reluctantly removed a star from my previous rating.
