They’re super helpful without being overbearing or pushy. It’s a comfortable shopping experience and teavana teas are always delicious.

This is place is a tea lover’s dream. Their selection is awesome and I love the fact that they have merged with Starbucks and you can use your Starbucks card and gain points here. The tea selection is abundant and it’s hard to walk out with less than 5 oz of tea lol.
The staff is very knowledgeable and are passionate about tea and extremely knowledgeable. Come here for all of your tea needs.

Very friendly staff! Great tea selections, and I love that you can just order a fresh cup of your favorite brewed tea, or grab a few ounces for home. Price is a little high for the pots, but it’s an investment.

They were acquired by the marketing super giant beverage company Starbucks on December 31^st of 2012– Teavana, formally known as Specialteas, is a walk-​in tea merchant with over 40 choices of your big tea styles. In order of oxidation or fermentation they carry selections of whites, greens, Oolongs, Darjeelings (actually Oolongs often are considered a darker style green as Darjeeling are often bunched in as a lightest side of blacks), the the proper blacks– Assam, Ceylon, China’s, Russian, etc. As well as flavored teas like Earl Grey, Jasmine, and those fruity blends… and then the caffeine free herbals. the shop is fashioned after the English tea shops where they willingly educate you and even provide tastings on just everything in the shop. Also available are a decent selection of tea pots and other paraphernalia to help you in a wonderful tea experience. Nowhere else in Germantown or Memphis can you find as fine a representation of tea. It is a good place, maybe even a great place– though I truly believe Memphis could support another great tea venue. Personally I love places like this but the management culture here might be the most aggressive sales team that I have had the pleasure to encounter in a long time. Probably due to the new corporate ownership. That said you owe it to yourself, if you either love tea or would like to get to know more about tea, to venture into Teavana and take home a few. Just be ready because if you ask for 2 ounces they will weigh you 3 or 4 costing you way more that you might had want to spend. Marketing, eh yeah, right? At an average of about $ 5 per ounce and a minimum of 2 ounce portions with some going for as much as $ 25./ tin. So be good to yourself and try this place out. Just bring some money, and watch the sales tactics– you’ll be fine.
