We use Wilson Tire exclusively for our auto needs. The guys who work here are helpful and honest about what really needs to be done to your car and can help you gauge timing for different services. I have always felt taken care of after our visits here and their prices are very reasonable considering the excellent service. Highly recommend!

Have used them for two years now. Have not had any problems with them, everyone is friendly. Would recommend them to friends and family.

I took my truck to Wilson Tire this morning for four tires and an alignment. As promised it took two hours to complete. The facility is clean, staff is friendly and professional. they did what they said they would for what they said it would cost and in the time they said it would be done. These guys have been at this location for years. I have not used them in at least a decade always chasing the cheapest deal. The price was in line and I think there is a great deal of value having the work done close to home in case something is wrong. They also have a vested interest in doing a good job because the word travels fast if they don’t. While in there I listened to the manager try to talk several people out of doing extra work, he said it could wait. That is honest business. Highly recommend them.

Full disclosure, I was in a time crunch, and I didn’t compare prices with other auto repair operations in the neighborhood…
I needed to have all four tires replaced on my car, and VERY fast. I called at 11:30, got a very fair price, and an appointment for 12:00 that day. I was out by 12:45.
The guys at Wilson are all very friendly, straight forward, and I would not hesitate to take my car back to them in the future.

I needed new tires for my car and had Wilson Tire order and replace them with the same exact model and brand. Everything seemed fine until about a week and a half later when my tire check light came on and I found one of my tires had a lower PSI than the others. Since it was in the middle of the ultra-​low temperatures I chalked it up to the cold weather and filled the tire up to match the others. Another week went by and the same tire started losing air again. Thinking perhaps it was the tire that was leaking or faulty, I took it back to Wilson. They quickly found the problem — the sensor was leaking air. They told me this was normal, that all sensors «go bad» after about 5 years, so I had them replace it at $ 140 cost to me.
Fast-​forward another week and a half, when my tire check light went on again and found that two more (different) tires were losing air. Again, I filled them up at the gas station thinking that surely not all my tires would be leaking at the same time. Not even a week after that, the tire check light comes on again and my tires are clearly not holding air. Since I had to get a service done at my dealership I had them check the tires and they informed me that those 2 tire sensors were cracked and that it must have happened during the tire installation, and showed me where they were leaking. One sensor had to be cut off because it was tightened down too much by Wilson when it was reinstalled during the tire change.
Before I had the dealership do anything, I called Wilson to see if they would fix this, and over the phone I was told flat out that they were not responsible for the cracked sensors. Then they said that my dealership only said that because they wanted to sell me new sensors. I protested and said I wanted my sensors replaced since they broke them, and they then told me to come in and they’d see if they could patch it or find a compromise. Because the only way this will be made right is for Wilson to replace the two sensors they cracked and reimburse me for the one they made me pay for, I just had the dealership replace the faulty sensors with regular valves to stop the air leakage for the time being. This was one low-​cost option the dealership presented, which they would not have suggested if their motivation was to sell me expensive sensors as Wilson insinuated.
For the record, I since did more research and got several other opinions, including one of a friend who races cars, and they all said this damage definitely happened at the time the tires were changed by Wilson. Sensors do indeed go bad, but they just stop working with the tire check light and do not leak air unless they are physically damaged. Thanks to Wilson, my tire check light is on all the time now, and I have to check my tires manually.
I understand that accidents happen, and would have given them a decent review in spite of the major inconvenience if they had acted differently. But the fact that I was lied to when I brought the car back after the problem began, coupled with the fact that they would not just own up to the incident and fix what they broke is enough for me to never set foot in their establishment again, and I would urge others to do the same.

OK. .. you can buy tires from just about anywhere, nowadays. So why go to this shop?
I’d say don’t go there if you know anything about an automobile or care about your family’s safety!
And women or those of you that don’t know anything about their car — stay away, too if you know what’s good for you. The reason I say this is that I took my vehicle in for balancing four (4) tires. Problem is: I caught the ‘professional’ grease monkey tighten my lug nuts with an impact gun and then, put the cover on without torquing the lugs. Is this important? You bet it is if you don’t want to be driving down the road and have your wheel fall off!
I asked the grease monkey, ‘don’t you hand torque the lug nuts?’ His response was ‘if you want me to’. After a few choice words, he went to the other end of the shop for the torque sticks. Only one set for all the cars that they replace tires?
I went into the office and voiced my concerns to the salesperson with whom I was dealing named Toby Drury/​Asst. Mgr. He explained that the mechanic was supposed to torque the lug nuts but his expression was ‘what’s the big deal’. He added that the impact gun was «pre-​torqued by Ingersoll Rand for Goodyear». Maybe that line of bs works on most people but I don’t think that this service writer knows much about the function of impact guns, torque wrenches/​torque sticks and the reason for manufacturers torque specifications.
I also thought that it was strange that the other salesperson (I’ll call him bald-​ie) chimed in and said ‘don’t worry, we’ll re-​torque them’ as in — they will do it a second time. They didn’t do it the first time — that’s the problem!
It’s appalling that I would have to tell a ‘professional’ how to do his job! His lack of attention to his job is reckless, irresponsible and criminal.
How many customers have been unknowingly duped by these crooks trying to save time/​money? All in all, don’t expect much from all of these guys just because they’re licensed with the Goodyear name!!!

I try to take care of my cars on my own when I can. Unfortunately, mounting and balancing tires is not something for which I have the equipment.
When I’ve had mounting and balancing done here they’ve always been fast and efficient. As the other reviewer noted, they have a nice clean waiting area where you can relax for a bit while you wait for work to be completed. This is FAR nicer than I’ve seen at other shops in the Germantown area.
Most important for me, the employees and manager have been happy to answer the questions I have. These guys know what they’re doing and they get it done quick for a good price!

Buying tires has always been a confusing, stressful and unpleasant necessary event for as long as I’ve owned cars; 30 years. I never really felt I was being honestly informed, the whole procedure took too much time, and the retailers had dirty or uncomfortable waiting rooms. Also tires are expensive. I recently purchased 4 tires at Wilson in Germantown and the experience was easy. They made an appointment, kept it, provided financing through Goodyear, and the waiting room was clean, had a nice TV and big windows. The process was completed before the time they gave me and my vehicle was clean of any dark handprints. I will always purchase my tires from Wilson Tire and Auto because of this positive experience.
