I visited four cigar shops in the Gettysburg area and this one is, by far, the best. It looks a lot smaller from the outside and it’s easy to miss(it’s next door to Rita’s, if you pass it you’ve gone too far) but it’s a decent size inside and there’s a huge selection of really good cigars. Service is extremely friendly and educational. We had a chance to meet Gary, the lovely owner with an awesome beard, and let me tell ya, this guy knows his stuff. Like really knows his stuff! He helped us narrow down what we we’re looking for and educated us without being pushy and sales-y…is that a word? Ha! There’s nothing made in China here folks(or at least few to none) so if you’re looking for a super cheap $ 5 pipe you won’t find that here. Although, he does have an amazing selection of starter pipes for about $ 29 made in Italy. We skipped those and went for something closer to $ 100 that we thought, for the quality, was an excellent deal. All the pipes are great quality and all kinds of styles ranging from wood to hand carved clay. Gary also has a really good selection of tobacco including his house blends that he makes himself and works really hard at perfecting. I highly recommend them! We didn’t buy any cigars but from what I saw, there were some really really good choices. I’m definitely stopping by here again the next time I’m in the area. Oh and there’s also a friendly ghost that breezes through the shop from time to time. He came to visit us while we were there :-)
