The first reviewer Michael said course is long… very untrue. You can drive the green on 4 different par 4’s(Holes 1, 7, 12, and 14). All of the par 3’s are under 150 yards. The only holes that play long are the par 5 fourth hole because the green is uphill, and the par 5 sixth hole from the blue tees. That hole is over 600 yards from the blues but less than 450 from white. Distance is NOT what makes this course difficult for novices. As far as his criticism about people mowing the fairway, that is just absurd. And why call a course and NOT make a tee time? Even if they say you don’t need one, you already have the guy on the phone. That just seems like a lapse of intelligence on hs part. This course is $ 20 after 2PM on weekends with a cart. Do you expect to be playing Augusta? This course is a bargain. It has a very unique layout and requires you to hit your shots in a certain area to be able to score. You can take advantage of a few short holes(see above), but you also need to be able to place your shots in the right area to be able to score well. The only part of this course that could use some improvement is the greens. They are very fuzzy and slow, which makes it tough to play other courses after playing Meadow Brook. Once you get used to wacking the ball straight at the hole and not playing break, you will start scoring better. Overall, if you are looking for a very cheap place to play a fun round of golf in a very scenic, unique laid out course, play here. If you want pristine greens, fairways and tee boxes, go play Links at Gettysburg about 4 miles south and pay the $ 100 greens fees.

Not a fan. Very busy, slow play didn’t appreciate the girl mowing the third green or the man in the tractor mowing the 6th fairway! Man at the desk was unfriendly and asked me for a tee time. I told him we had called yesterday and we were told we didn’t need one. Course is long and very challenging for the novice. Third hole island green was nice to try.
