Redding’s Hardware

Redding’s is a functioning historic hardware store, with original beam floors and everything. The hardware portion is well-​stocked for its size, and reasonably priced.
What shines, though, is the larger sporting goods area in front. A wide selection of new and used firearms at very reasonable prices, an expansive choice of in-​stock ammo… That’s pretty exceptional these days.
They also stock reloading supplies, I’ve purchased Speer .308 bullets, Remington and CCI Primers, and some cartridge boxes. When nobody else has primers or powder, Redding’s does.
It’s a little bit of a haul from Frederick, MD, but Redding’s is a destination shop. I get excited about driving there, and will always take a chance to ride the motorcycle up. And, you can stop at Keystone Fireworks on the way home.
