Subway

Fast friendly service and lots of fresh veggies. So why only three stars? The main reason I don’t go to Subway very often is that the freshly baked bread fumes from the ovens get all over my clothes and smell awful. Google «Subway smell» and you’ll see that I’m not alone in being bothered by this smell and wondering why bread would leave such a stink. (This is true of all Subways, not just the Gibson City location.) The second reason I don’t usually go into Subway is that the line is usually very long. I only have a half hour for lunch so I don’t want to wait 10 – 15 minutes to get waited on. But obviously it’s not their fault that a lot of people love Subway for lunch! I’ve had great sandwiches there at times, and their cookies are better than homemade-​unbelievably good. I do wish they’d get some better tomatoes… theirs are always so pale and anemic looking. But all in all the food is pretty good and probably the healthiest fast food option out there.
