Husband had the daily special of homemade sausage and chicken jambalaya and it was to die for, I got a burger and fries and both were delicious. Great price and very family friendly

Checked out their Breakfast menu this morning… FANTASTIC! She had the 3-egg Western omelette with bacon, grits and a biscuit w/sausage gravy. I had the Breakfast special w/3 eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes w/sausage gravy, and wheat toast. The omelette was loaded with bacon and definitely Texas sized! My eggs(although ordered medium as suggested by our server to have a runny yolk) were exactly that… little yolk! But the bacon… OUTSTANDING! Firm but not too crispy and the flavour was to die for! We shall return!

The food is average, the customer service is horrible and the restaurant itself is old, stale and very musty. If you cannot tolerate cigarette smoke or the smell, DONOT come here. There’s nothing really special about this place but if you’re from Giddings, there isn’t many other places to hang out…

Finding that the best reviewed breakfast taco place wasn’t open on Sunday mornings we stopped at Circle W on the way back to Austin. Glad we did! Large menu selection with CFS, hamburgers, lunch specials. Breakfast was still being served at 11:30. We both chose the special with 2 eggs, hashbrowns, biscuit(they’re HUGE!) and bacon for me, ribeye for him. I prefer my bacon a bit crispier but I ain’t complainin’ because it’s still bacon! The left side of the place seems to be more bar oriented with beer signs and stuff. The right side seemed to be the subdued, over 65, «we come here for every meal» group which made for cute people watching.

This country steak joint and bar is exactly what we were looking for on our drive back to Austin. Both the chicken strips and CFS were fresh and juicy with a thin, crisp crust. The Mac and Cheese was creamy, peppery and overall La Bomba. No mashed potatoes keeps it from 5 star comfort cooking.

Stopped in here and have only tried the CFS, so I can’t say much about the entire menu. It was middle of the road, not out of this world, but not horrible either. It had a very thin crust and was pan fried. I prefer my CFS to have a thick, crunchy crust, but if you prefer the thin crust, this may be right up your alley. Only options for sides were baked potato or french fries, and the salad was plain iceburg lettuce. ** Word of warning, if smoking bothers you, this is NOT a place you want to stop in and eat. The minute you walk in the door you are overcome w/an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Even though it appeared smoking was only allowed in the bar area, it carries through the entire restaurant, and you will leave smelling like cigarette smoke.

Went here with my mother one day for lunch. Ambiance was kinda weird(large, mostly empty, half bar half restaurant with one table of old people, one young family, and one group of rowdy folks) service was just okay, and food was very slow in coming, so it wasn’t looking like it was going to be a great review. Mom ordered hamburger steak and I ordered chicken strips. They were the best chicken strips I’ve ever had in my life! I ate there about 4 – 5 months ago, and I’ve compared every chicken strip I’ve had since then to these, and these are still the best. Will have to go back sometime, and yeah, I’m ordering the same thing I did last time.
