Trish is amazing, I live in Lake Tapps and followed her from Federal Way to Gig Harbor because she is just that good.

I went to get a simple hair cut today. Asked the lady at the counter how long it would be because I was on my lunch break. Was totally prepared to come back if too busy. She said I would be next. Turns out I wasn’t. Not the end of the world but it was just the first place this joint went wrong with me. Then they started asking for personal info. I just want a haircut. Not interested in filling out a credit app! So I shut that down(although they tried two more times.) Then I finally got my hair cut. I was quoted $ 17. The lady who cut my hair was okay — nothing special — nothing wrong either. She spent about 8 minutes using clippers. I asked her to trim my mustache. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes. No shampoo — no rinse, no blow dry. Just a simple 10 minute hair cut. She charged me $ 23 saying the extra $ 6 was for trimming my mustache. She didn’t warn me the mustache trim was extra. Pretty good scam I guess if you don’t mind never seeing your customers more than once. There are lots of places within five miles of this location where you can get a better hair cut for less. I will never visit this or any other HairMasters location again. You can do better — trust me. I felt ripped off.

I have been working with Hairmasters for years! I started in Gig Harbor 15 years ago and 2 stylists are no longer at this location, Dana & Lish! Loved them both… but, now my favorite is Azelin and she does a fantastic job. I’ve seen her twice, get compliments every time I go. My 90 year old mother had a cut/style and she got so many raves back at her Retirement home. I’m not leaving HairMasters as long as you keep hiring great stylists! Thank You, Norma Rudametkin

I went in after work one night for a haircut(it had been WAY too long) They were ½ hr before closing but said they would have no problem seeing me. The girl finished up with the guy whose hair she was cutting and called me over. She hadn’t swept up his hair first, but no worries right? Before I knew it she had me in the same drape he just had on(hair clippings still visible) and used the same scissors without cleaning! I’m a passive person who refuses to make a stink so I sat there in horror.(Thank goodness the previous customer looked clean!!) However… she did give me a great cut that I adore. Can’t say I won’t go back again, but might give a little heads up for cleaning!

Ok, so I have to admit I’m usually a little too elitist to go to a «chain» hair salon, as I’ve never really had a great experience at one. I moved to Seattle a few weeks ago, and was in desperate need of a haircut, so I asked around.(I had a fabulous salon I was absolutely devoted to in Buffalo for 7 years and I’m terrified to leave my hair in anyone else’s hands.) One of my coworkers in Tacoma has amazing hair, and I was surprised to find out she got it done at Hairmasters. She told me to go see Lish, and I got an appointment on the same day. For $ 25, I got one of the best cuts of my life! Lish is really good at what she does — I told her what I wanted, and I got it. I walked out of the salon with a smile, and my hair even looks the same when I do it at home. I will happily drive all the way out to Gig Harbor again next time I need a cut, and would recommend Lish to anyone.
