A store to be cherished indeed. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Jo knows my taste in reading and has even put books aside that she thinks I might enjoy. And I have enjoyed them all. The store has a warm, cozy feel. It’s great to slip in there on a dark, gloomy kind of NW day and just browse. The index card reviews written by staff are most helpful too. Speaking of cards. You have to see the handmade greeting cards by Donna at the store. Absolutely beautiful. I purchase all my cards there now. They are able to order just about any book on the planet and the books arrive quickly. Why use Amazon when you can support a local store instead and get books just as expeditiously with a smile and good conversation. I’ve already chosen my next read for this rainy week we’re having. Heading to Mostly Books tomorrow morning.

Small town bookstore with lots of recommendations… these are getting harder to find, and I love Mostly Books. Thank you Jo and staff for being our book screeners and sharing your joy in reading.

This is one of my favorite places in the Harbor! They have a bit of everything and are happy to order anything they might not have in stock. Sometimes the orders are even in the next day! The staff are lovely ladies who know the store inside and out and are always ready to help.

Small, cozy. Mostly Books makes you family the moment you enter. If you still love paper, this is a tiny treat for you.

This store is not closed. It is alive and well! It’s right in the cute downtown(? if it’s a downtown?) of Gig Harbor, on the waterfront next to other greatest hits like Tides Tavern. I somehow managed not to notice it at first, but was pointed here by the lovely couple who run No Dearth of Books. Mostly Books sells all new books, whereas NDoB sells only used/antique books, and«Never the twain shall meet!» Like the name says, they sell. Mostly Books. But a few other things you find in bookstores, like bookmarks, etc. Tacoma has some great used bookshops, but I haven’t found too many small, independent NEW bookstores like this one! It’s my first stop locally when I’m in search of something hot off the presses.
