Although the front desk staff was pleasant, I can’t say the rest of my experience was. I had a legal incident in which alcohol was involved so I was ordered to do a chemical dependency evaluation. I admitted to the counselor that I have been intoxicated a few times in my life, and at the end of the session he said«well, I don’t think you have a problem»…I was slightly relieved and asked him if he was going to state that in the evaluation and he said no, that he did see an issue. Problem #1: Ultimate contradiction. He then said he thinks I am chemically dependent. CHEMICALLYDEPENDENT. 6MONTHSOFDEPENDENCYTREATMENT. no. When I asked him how on earth he could think that, he said«well, I think you would benefit from some education. Problem #2: There is a difference between«some» alcohol education, and 6 months of dependency treatment. I thanked him for his time and quickly made an appointment for a second evaluation somewhere else. I took the eval from Olalla to the new place, re-did the tests, and that counselor said no way can I be considered chemically dependent. I am so glad I got the second evaluation. Moral of the story: If you have an alcohol related incident, this place will find you chemically dependent even if you have no history of alcohol abuse in the past.
