They seem to only care about making money. It is a retirement community. One gentleman shared that after his wife passed, they continued to charge him a second person fee. despite the fact she was no longer utilizing their services, which is what a 2^nd person fee is for. Another family shared they were charged another months rent, over 3000.00 because their mother died before giving 30 days notice. Honestly, get everything in writing. My mom is currently residing in peninsula retirement home, unfortunately she did not get things in writing, she was promised a month of rent, instead she received a bill for an additional months rent which they called a move in fee. They promised chef prepared meals but tons of sauce later, lots of leftovers, 1 or 2 pieces of small fruit and vegies. I beg to differ, also, they said transportation was included. it is severely limited, not on weekends or after 6 pm, etc. and not handicap accessible. Also, only one tiny elevator for the 3 floors and parking is very limited. They have advised residents to have visitors park off campus and that option is also limited. My moms tiny sink has been plugged up since May and she asked help from maintenance. Tonight, her 97 yr young neighbor brought over her own personal plunger and got it unplugged…
