Been here a number of times and always seem slow to serve you at the counter. Despite the looonnggg line at the drive thru, it always seems quicker. The speed, or rather the lack there of loses them some stars. The staff are always friendly which is a plus.

Great customer service! Coffee is great! Great location. Close to Uptown in Gig Harbor.

Definitely in need of a Pierce Co. Health Inspection of the baked goods case. Fruit flies and big flies discouraged me from getting goodies. Coffee is burnt tasting — maybe that batch got roasted too long? Hard to find location, «café in a bank» feel.

Horrible representation of a Starbucks. As stated the drive through is a nightmare and I find that 3 out of 3 times our drinks are either wrong or taste burnt. I now no longer visit this location and opt for the Starbucks across the street. The customer service also is lacking at this location. They really don’t seem to care about the mishaps and the time the customer had to wait to get the issue corrected.

This Starbucks is a very nice place but it’s very small, and I asked them to have a strawberry frappechino and they gave me a coffee. But the good thing is that sense they did that they gave me the coffee with my drink for free! Yay, so thanks for that. The employees where very nice also, it’s always packed in there.

Staff is friendly for the most part. Drive through is typically smoothly operated. At times when I have had to wait longer than normal staff has bern good about compensating with free drink coupons. Frequently seem to run out of their pastries.

Agree with all the others that this location is very bad compared to others. We came early one Saturday and got our coffees. The seating is really weird and we ended up sitting in the very front sitting area. As we sipped it got busy in both the lobby and the drive thru. I couldn’t fathom that anyone would wait, what seemed like forever, in the drive thru, so I timed it. From the duel start line to the window where we were sitting, which was still two or more cars back from ordering, was 13 minutes. Wow! Like why didn’t these peeps just come in? Here’s why. In the same timeframe, 10 or so people entered the lobby. No one left. We were ready to leave but i wanted a refill so I scanned the line… they were almost all still in line. This place is the slowest ever. Like ever! Something is seriously wrong here Howard. Take a look please.

Really disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. I went inside the other day to grab a quick latte. It was about 1pm and no one was waiting in line. From the time I ordered till the time I received my drink was 9 minutes. Unbelievable, especially when there were 5 employees standing around while only 1 was making drinks. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me either.

The slowest service you could ever imagine would be here! If you want to get there and not receive your order within 10 minutes– THISIS A PLACETOGO! Baristas are friendly and nice, but to have only one person making coffee when there are 6+ people in line is not going to make it! GET A FASTERSERVICE!!!

So disappointed in how this Starbucks has gone downhill in service and personnel. This used to be my go-to place, but lately, I notice the baristas are surly, they would rather talk to each other than the customer when waiting for an order, and lately the drinks arrive at a snail’s pace and out of order without an «I’m sorry for the wait, or calling the drink«out of order.» I’m happy to wait for a good drink, but the quality has suffered, too. I think this Starbucks needs a visit from upper management. I consider myself a Starbucks connoisseur, and they need a kick in the pants!

Odd Starbucks — ½ Key bank and ½ Starbucks — they even have a split drive-thru with lane 1 being Starbucks and lane 2 being Key Bank. We did go inside and it was really dark… the gal that helped me messed up the 1st time and had to rering my order but it got taken care of(she just wasn’t listening…) Coffee tasted burnt but the ice-T was fine(how can you screw up iced T)…

This is the SLOWEST Starbucks I have ever been to. The other user who said it takes about 15 minutes is not exaggerating. The stars are for the smiles and nice friendly baristas and that is ALL. They overfilled my latte and and it leaked all over my car… Grrrr! They’ve done that more than once… I would never go back to this Starbucks ever.

This Starbucks is the worst Starbucks of any I have visited throughout the country… and I visit a lot. It is slow. I spend in excess of $ 3500/yr at Starbuck’s personally and with meeting catering so I think I can qualify with some expertise. It is frequently out of product in the baked goods. I can live with that. But every time I have been there I walk away asking why I ever returned. The service is embarrassingly poor by any standard let alone a very service oriented company like Starbucks. The drive thru makes it desirable under any circumstances, but OMG… get some customer service training and hire cool and groovy Barista’s. Stop hiring people that resent being there and serving.

There are really incredibly slow compared to any Starbucks I’ve ever gone to, and that’s just through the drive thru. On average even with no cars I front of you it takes almost 15 minutes to get your drink. And to top it off almost all of the baristas at the drive thru window in the morning aren’t nice or helpful at all and the have an attitude.

I love these guys! Although, ever since they re-did their parking lot and drive through… it’s been discouraging to go, but I’ll get to that later. :) My favorite Barista is Sam and she’s a doll! Don’t know how, but almost all the Barista’s know my name and write messages on my drink for me! It always makes my day when I get my drink and notice a drawing or a message from the Barista’s. It makes my morning all the better. When I pull up to the window, before I even say anything they ask if I want my usual! If I don’t want that, they remember my alternative usual’s! They also know my dogs by name and always, always give them treats. If they run out of doggie biscuits, they offer a coffee lid with whip cream. My only grievance is the parking lot. I’d really like to know which genius designed that one! Basically the drive-thru line is cut up between the two entrances into the Key Bank/Starbucks parking lot, and if the actual drive-thru line is full, you wait in that middle«overflow» line. Normally, that’s okay… however, people driving around the complex completely by-pass that overflow and cut you in line. I have seen MANY verbal exchanges which were not PG, and I have seen many car horn battles… the«number one» finger, and subsequent road-rage. In other words, if I see the normal drive-thru line full, I just skip the coffee. It’s not worth it.

When comparing all the Starbucks I’ve been to over the years, this one is A-OK although it’s fairly run of the mill as far as service goes. I go to this one because it’s near work and the Starbucks I used to go to near my old job was just a little, I don’t know, maybe a little more welcoming? It’s not that this one is unwelcoming it’s just that I kind of feel like it’s more of an in-and-out location. I come here regularly and I still wouldn’t say I have a favorite barista which is unusual at Starbucks. They usually specialize in getting to know their regulars and remember their names or at least acknowledge that they remember you but that’s not really the case at this one. My personal woes aside, what I’m trying to say I guess is that this is the only Starbucks I don’t feel like there’s much difference between going inside and going through drive thru although I still keep parking and going inside hoping that I might have a better experience one of these days…
