Denny’s

Unfortunately I have to leave one star. This is the worst place I have eaten at. My spoon had food on it then when they brought me a new set the fork had food on it. The bathroom was so bad that I couldn’t use it so I held it till I got to a different restaurant.

So my family and I go to dennys today and the waitress asked multiple times party of 7 like she was in some sort of disbelief and our drinks took 20 min and my mother told me she wanted red potatoes and the waitress kept on saying there are other options and mother had to tell her 2x that she wanted red potatoes and then the waitress went on a rant saying she’s been doing this for 37 years walked away and got a new waitress which I thought was ridiculous then the other waitress said oh sometimes tables don’t get along with waitresses enough with the excuses took forever mind you I have a 4 year old special needs child with me and a woman pushing 90 with me food took almost an hour it’s usually hit or miss with this place the plus was the new waitress brought us out mini fried donuts because the food was taking so long, I could hear the 1^st unprofessional waitress complaining to another table how a lot of people need Jesus I think she’s 1 of them considering her purple contacts and her purple lipstick I felt as I was in a Sci-​fi movie when she 1^st went up to our table… if you want a quick meal don’t come here if you have all day I guess this is the place to go…

We have always loved Denny’s. Disappointed in their value menus change. Print is way too small.

Consistently terrible service (even for a Denny’s) at this location. I hadn’t been for years because I have always had such awful service here, but after a winning streak at several surrounding Denny’s, I thought I’d give «the bad Denny’s» a try again.
Bad mistake. We left before even ordering food and I won’t be back again. Went across the street to Olive Garden, which really knows how to elevate mediocre food with excellent service.
If you hate food, enjoy depressing scenes of humanity and waiting endlessly for service that doesn’t arrive, this is the Denny’s of your dreams.
All snotty snark aside, the server was very genuinely apologetic for the bad service. I actually felt bad for her. Just not bad enough to waste sixty dollars on awful food.
Nice try, Denny’s.

I’ve dined here over a dozen times since moving to the east valley. The establishment is on the way home from work and therefore convenient for me. The service has been highly erratic-​ranging from mediocre to absolutely horrid. Tonight the iced tea tasted like coffee, the club sandwich was missing items, and the server was nearly nonexistent. I will not be returning to this Denny’s location ever again.

Food was just food it seems like Dennys has gone downhill and I have been very disappointed with Denny’s. Corporate has no idea what the public wants. Since the menu change everything seems to be a disappointment. The server was ok but seem to be more interested in cleaning and bussing tables instead of finishing working with my table.

Not bad! I’m a vegetarian and had the fit fare veggie skillet and it was actually pretty good. I like how it’s served on the skillet it’s cooked on. I wouldn’t say it’s the best quality food since it’s not organic or anything, but for what it is. not bad! The service and staff were super polite and helpful.

Well, my girlfriend and I decided to get some breakfast here, last minute.
Server was nice, but unstocked table caddy. Dirty/​heavily stained coffee mugs. No coffee refills. No flavored coffee creamer. Dirty syrup container. Yuck.
Never again.

Ordered to go order, pretty fast and very friendly staff. The only downside is that they don’t serve soup after 10pm lol. Anyways what more do you need to know about dennys. Go get you fill at any hour!

Some previous reviews painted a bad picture but we tried it anyway and the service was great as was the food. One of the best Dennys experiences in a long while.

If you get Justin as a waiter good luck waited close to half an hour for my drink and got the wrong order and had to ask multiple times for silverware while he was joking around with another employee. Worst service I’ve ever had.

Yes, it’s been a year (or more?), but I’m here again. Late night at work, late from the gym, and hungry. With most places closed or closing. And we had a coupon for Denny’s.
It’s a diner. A mediocre diner, but a diner. The service was good. Looking at my past reviews that seems to be a constant. I decided to try something different. Not a burger. Not a chicken-​fried steak. I got this chicken skillet thing. It wasn’t fancy. Some sauteed vegetables and potatoes (maybe even pan-​fried) and a few pieces of boneless chicken. It was tine. I thought the flavor was nice. Nothing special, but nice.
We then opted for the «sundae». It was three scoops of ice cream with chocolate syrup and crumbled oreos. It wasn’t as good as it sounds. It was OK. Not bad. But not as good as it sounds like it should be.

My wife, grandson and myself visited the Denny’s at 3971 s gilbert road in Gilbert az. We frequent Denny’s a lot with all our travels. However this one rates low on my list! Poor service, 45 min service time, eggs uncooked and runny. Ham over cook and tough. Sausage under cooked. The bacon was ok and so was the Orange juice. However all was cold. Not questioned when I handed back the almost full plate. He just walked away. Sad. I do have to admit that the Denny’s in flagstaff az on Milton has always been excellent. So just this location was poor. A real black eye for Denny’s and the management of this location. So sad!

Before you read this review keep in mind I only go here after 11 PM at night as I often work late. I usually come here once a week for a late night dinner/​snack. I usually come with a group of 3 – 6 people. The food is good for what you can expect from Denny’s. I understand they are short staffed at night but all to often we get poor service. Sometimes we walk in and it takes an employee 5 minutes to notice and seat us. Another 5 – 10 to order drinks and food. The food typically comes out quickly for the late shift. The number one thing that bothers me is refills, it takes forever to get a refill of water or coffee. Sometimes we do get a good waiter (our favorite waitress), but its usually the same handful of waiters that don’t pay attention. I will still continue to come here because its really the only option for a decent 1 – 3 AM meal.

This Denny’s has the worst service! They can’t get an order right. Forget ordering a salad you will never get it. We have been coming to this Denny’s for a long time and it’s always the same. It’s pretty sad when you walk in the door and it takes them 15 minutes to even acknowledge your standing there with only 5 people in the whole place. Food is good but very poor service!

The food and friendly attitude here is the same as every other Dennys, but after waiting 15 minutes to get a table (by myself), I waited nearly an HOUR to get my food without so much as a coffee warmup. That’s beyond the pale and I will never return.

I walked in. There was a group of four ahead of me. It took 15 minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge that I was standing there, 3 feet in front of them. Another 3 minutes to be seated. It was not completely full, as there were at least 15 empty tables/​booths. At least they support our military veterans.

This is a reasonable Denny’s and my husband likes to go here. We usually get good service, but periodically not.
The food is typical and nothing out of the ordinary. My husband does love their Lumberjack breakfast, which is a lot of food. It’s easier to go here to eat rather than make all this stuff, which I did once.
Anyway, it’s fine. No real stand out complaints but no real stand out praises either. It’s convenient and periodically we will eat here, maybe 2 – 3 times a year.

Sooooo… I wrote another review for a Denny’s in Payson (that was not shining) but it reminded me how awesome this one is.
We (my family and I) have been to this location probably 2 dozen times. There have been a couple of issues here and there but its always very clean, the help is always great and the food is always good.
Very consistent.
