DOC Nails

If I could give this place a zero, I most definitely would. My daughters and their friends went to get their nails done here yesterday. My girls had never been here before. While there, the man working there was incredibly rude to one of my daughters and her friend. The man asked her if she was Korean and she said no, that she wasn’t Asian at all and that she was actually Puerto Rican. The man proceeded to say, «Oh, so you’re Mexican.» She said no. The man continued to antagonize the situation by saying, «Well, I mean, it’s all the same thing.» She said, «No. Not really. Not at all actually.» The man then said, «Oh, does that make you mad? Because I have a friend who is PR and I call her Mexican all the time and she gets really mad. I think it’s so funny that she gets mad. But really Mexicans are just like Filipinos.» Again, she said, «No. Not at all.» And the guy said, «Well, I mean they look exactly alike so it’s all the same.» The ignorant rant continued, the man was rude otherwise as well (not just with the racial comments). He also commented that she was obviously too americanized and made reference to how lazy american girls are when her friend mentioned that she had just learned how to grill (bc she’s already 17 and has JUST learned to grill). The other two women working tried to intervene from time to time & we’re very nice according to my girls, but this man was horrible. He also told the friend that he refused to do her nails bc her nail beds were too small for what she wanted. At one point he got frustrated while doing my daughter’s nails and got up and walked away from her. One of the other employees intervened, again & he continued working on her. My daughter was very, very upset. More than just being shocked at this man’s completely unprofessional behavior, I think she was shocked that this happened at all. I don’t think anyone is ever really prepared for such an exchange or to be attacked like that (especially while getting a manicure!). Unacceptable under any circumstance.

I have been coming here for the past three years and the shop is amazing! The staff is always friendly, timely and they go above and beyond for their customers. I always have excellent service and wonderful nails thanks to the owners, I will continue coming here :)

Love this place. I’ve been coming here for more than five years. Love the service and that it’s family and locally owned/​operated. Never had an issue. Very clean, well maintained facility. Make an appointment because they have so many regulars or you’ll have to wait. I take out of town guests here and have had them all tell me they wish this place was in their area. They offer waxing too.

This was the best pedicure I’ve gotten in a long time! We are visiting the Gilbert area for the weekend and stopped in. It is SO clean and relaxing! The staff was so helpful and pleasant to talk to. The design they did on my nails was AWESOME!!! They had so many cool designs to choose from and it turned out perfectly. I highly recommend these guys! I will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the area. Thanks!

I LOVE this place, I’ve been coming here for close to 5 years. Never a problem here. They take care of their customers. They make sure you leave happy with whatever service you’ve had done. They are always busy, they take walk-​ins but it’s best to make an appointment.

Although I do not live in Arizona, I actually come here EVERY time that I visit. I like the hospitality and service. Most importantly, I really like their gel styles. I usually get a new gel color with acrylic fills in addition to the pedicure. Weekends are usually packed so I stay away from those times, but always make an appointment to ensure your spot. But I’ve seen people wait and it’s not that long, since the staff is usually pretty good with timing. Also I’ve had done a leg waxing here, very cool!
The facilities are very clean and the service I find to be extremely top rate. (NYC salons do not have that type of ‘feel good’ customer experience, for some reason)
