I have used Magic Pest since I moved to AZ over 2 years ago. I have a monthly service. I hate bugs!
Service guys are extremely nice and do great job!
My condo is under 1000 sq ft, 2 bdrm and no yard other than front patio. About a 10 min job.
Pest control is great and no complaint!
I guess they raised their prices in July yet NO ONE told me !! From July until now, I continued to pay, at time of service, the same amount. No one ever sent me invoice or called to say I wasn’t paying correct amount. I have even had a few phone calls with them during these months on other matters, and still no one tells me. Then this month when they come out for the monthly service, they have this NEW service tech to present me with back billing since July for the xtra $ 10 month!!!
Really??? Obviously I didn’t pay that as I was never told that nor did I accept a price increase. (I can afford $ 10 xtra monthly, but you don’t back bill me for your lack of ability to manage your customer accounts!!!
I left message for them and when I got a call back, some curt’ and rude manager tried to tell me they did call and email me. Both lies and they don’t even have my email address!!! Instead of owning’ their error and try to resolve this issue and retain their Customer, she simply stated, «we cancelled your service»
I’m appalled at their lack of customer service!

After being a loyal customer for years we’ve decided to cancel our services moving forward. Their tech broke a vase the last time he was here and I brushed that off. Then they changed our services and didn’t even call to ask but tell us they changed it. Fine, I guess. Then, they don’t show up for their appt time they scheduled! I called and left a message… and no return call after 24 hours. I call to speak with the manager and she said «no one was home.» BS! I have a newborn and was waiting for them to show up. I cancelled my services and all I got was a «fine». No I’m Sorry, hate to lose you. Fine. I’ll take my business elsewhere and stop referring friends and neighbors to you!

As a Realtor, our Home Inspector selected Magic Pest Control to complete the Termite Inspection. The day after our Buyer closed on a short escrow period, termites and dry rot were discovered.
A phone call to the office was frustrating as the lack of simple phone courtesy is prevalent. In fact, they were downright rude and argumentative.
After a considerable hold, I was informed there were no warranties on the recent inspection. However, very cheerfully, they were willing to offer to return for a «Free Estimate» to remediate the problem.
When my client called to schedule the «Free Estimate» they were booked almost 9 days out.
They clearly work on a volume of complacent customers. Cheap is not always the best way to go. Watch for the silly looking pink trucks and steer clear.

I’m not one to usually take the time to write reviews but after dealing with Magic Pest Control I had to take the time to do it.
When I was looking for a company to treat my scorpion issue I came across them. I called and signed up their year contract which I was told included «dusting entire exterior wall, spraying 10ft past property line and taking every other electrical outlet off through the house and dusting behind it». Hearing that this was part of their treatment when they would come out I was happy to pay more for their service. They sent there employee out for the first treatment. He was very nice however he didn’t dust the exterior of the outside wall, spray anywhere other then in the yard and never took one cover off inside the house to dust behind.
I called down to their office before my next months appointment to let them know what had happened. I was told by Lisa that she would talk to the other manager and get back to me. Well after 3 days I had not one call back. I then called back down to follow up and let them know I had found a scorpion inside the house. My contract states that «at anytime if you find a scorpion then they will come out immediately and treat», however when I called on ⁷⁄₁₆ I was told they couldn’t come until ⁷⁄₂₄. After talking with the manager Gloria she understood why I was upset and set they would have them come out Monday ⁷⁄₂₀ between 11 – 1 and not only dust in the room it was found but do my full months treatment that was originally scheduled for ⁷⁄₃₁. After taking off work to be there between 11 – 1 they ended up not showing. So at 1:50 I called their office. They put me on hold and came back saying «he’s running 20 mins late and the time window we gave you was 11−2». Now I run my own business and time management is very big to me. I can without a doubt guarantee you they told me 11 – 1. Besides the point he still wouldn’t have been there until 2:10 according to them and I had to go to a meeting at 3.
So I rescheduled to have them come out the next day ⁷⁄₂₁ between 11 – 1. The guys shows up at 12:30. I’m happy he’s finally there after all the run around I had gone through. He starts inside and dusts behind 2 outlets in the room I found the scorpion the week before. He comes out and says «ok I’m ready to dust outside and I’ll be out of here». I asked him what about spraying the base boards and the outside of the house? He says that’s not what he was told to do. I had him call down and was treated with such disrespect by the office managers Lisa and Gloria that i demanded I be let out of my contract without any penalty.
I will never use this company again. They lie about what comes with the service you get and when you argue with them they just blame the last person you talked to for giving you the wrong information. I’ve never been so pissed off and had my time wasted then I have had with this company.
Do not use them!!!

We found Magic Pest Control via thumbtack (an online service site) within minutes of posting my request, Derek from Magic Pest Control had given me a call, to come out and do a free home consolation.
After explains the severity of my bug problem (a VERY large number of black widows) and the fact that I have two dogs that love to play with anything they can get their paws on Derek was able to make a time slot within a three hour window of our first contact. Upon arrival, Derek was friendly, kind, and really a great salesman, the price for our house was well under the quote from the big name bug slayer, and he was able to schedule or first visit right away for the same week.
When the exterminator showed us he greeted us with the same courtesy and professional demeanor that was displayed by Derek. The extermination process included spraying, adding an under hang filling to prevent repopulating, and removal of all webs, honestly I’m sure there was more but those are the items I noticed.
Overall Magic Pest Control went above and beyond expected for a great price. I highly recommend them if they service your area.

I’ve been using Magic Pest Control for several years, and was always very satisfied with their service. I’ve referred them to friends, and recommended them on facebook groups. However, after my call to them just now, I will NEVER use them again.
I moved recently, and called to set up an appointment for an exterior spray at my new house, something I had done many times at my old house for $ 35 each time. I was informed that not only was my $ 35 price no longer valid, but because I moved, the initial service would be $ 85, and $ 45 each time thereafter. I understand that prices go up, and $ 35 is now $ 45. But to charge a loyal customer $ 85 simply because it’s the first spray at a new house is ridiculous. I’m not asking them to do anything different than they’d done many times before.
I hope they’re making lots of money with this new scam, because I’ll never give them another penny of mine. Congratulations on losing a loyal customer.

After being a loyal customer for a number of years, customer service has become more and more complacent and rude. This company falsely advertises that they offer a 30 day guarantee of their treat services, but dare you call within the 30 day timeframe and complain about seeing bugs, they will attempt to alter the dates, from a 30 day warranty to a 15 – 20 day warranty. Needless to say, calling can be a nightmare, because any request for follow-​up services will be met with rudeness.
My wife and I even began to question whether or not their treatment solution had been recently diluted, because we saw more bugs then ever after their 2 week window that they give to wait for the treatment to draw the bugs out. Within the 3^rd week, there were crickets clinging to the stucco of our home at night, crickets in our walls, bugs in our yard, etc. My wife jokingly stated that, it’s almost as if they planted a bug colony in our yard to force us to call them for more frequent treatment services. We laughed it off, but began to question the likelihood. In addition to the above, like the other reviewer, I was told when setting up an appointment that their prices had drastically increased.
We’ve since found another exterminator that offers a more comprehensive treatment service, with a 60 day warranty guarantee. We were loyal customers until your loyalty to us ended.
On a good note, their service guys have alway been very polite and extremely nice.

After being a customer for over 22 years, I called for service today from Magic Pest Control and was told their prices jumped 150% over the price I have been paying. AMAZING! This is for a 10 – 15 minute servicing. Chad, my service tech was amazing but the prices they are charging are RIDICULOUS! Goodbye Magic Pest Control… your MAGIC is GONE! Remember, take care of your customers… they have worked with you for years.

Nelson is really good at what he does. I know termites can be a big problem but they make sure that you don’t have any issues. They often run termite specials so make sure to give them a call.

Have used these guys for over a year and a half and am very happy. All those showing up are professional and friendly. I am bug free and intend on staying that way by having them come every month. So the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they were calling every month to ask if I wanted them to come out. Then they stopped calling after I started counting on it. After a few months off we’re on track again with their monthly reminders.

Customer service is excellent. Scheduling appointment without hassle is always a plus, everyone is always so friendly in the office. Tech did an awesome job and we appreciate great service that comes with a great price. Thank You

The lady talked to me with her back turned to me and on her comp she didnt bother to turn around. I was asking about their services, i didnt stay inside more than 20 seconds, i give my money to people who show respect and good customer service, definitely not giving my money to people who give me a disgusting look when i walk into their office!!! They may have good products but definitely not worth one penny with the people who work there

Love these guys! Specifically, Nelson was amazing: very professional, educational, doesn’t act like salesman but someone offering a service. They’ve taken good care of our home for a great price :-)

I have used Magic Pest Control for years now for my personal residence and referred them to many clients. Magic always offers excellent service at fair rates. It’s a pleasure to recommend this family owned and operated business.

What a joke. Guy shows up an hour late, then has no idea what he is suppose to do. What I scheduled on the phone was completely different than what he showed up to do, and the price was different. He had no idea what I was talking about. I don’t know if it was the technicians fault or the offices fault for giving him bad info. I asked him to do what was discussed on the phone and all I got was a blank stare. If a company can’t show up on time and doesn’t even know what they are there to do, then they don’t need my money. There are plenty of other pest control services, so I suggest using a different one.

Great service! The guy was on time, quick, efficient and covered my entire lot/​home, inside and out! It’s been one month, and NO activity. I highly recommend this company to anyone that wants results, the FIRST time. And, they didn’t try to up-​sell me for a monthly service that I didn’t need. I will always use this company.

Update: my earlier review was only 4 stars because they weren’t always on time, but the seem to have improved this, so I’m bumping up the rating to 5 stars.
The techs are great! They try to send the same guy, it seems, but when the other (non regular) techs come by, they are always like, «hey, long time, no see!» Really friendly techs! Great service!

Magic pest did An outstanding job treating my house for termites. We had quite a spots where termite tubes kept on appearing so we got quotes from 3 companies. Magic Pest gave us a great price and a longer warranty than their competition. After they treated they came out twice to check on our house and even treated a spot that all three companies missed during the original estimates for no extra charge. While missing the spot isn’t ideal they definitely took responsibility for it and made up for it.

Called Magic Pest Control to go out to my home to do a routine pest spray. It was really easy to schedule an appointment.
He showed up to my house, right on time (and even wiped his feet on the doormat before coming in). He went through the home interior, spraying each room. He then went outside and sprayed my yard and around the exterior.
No problems, nice guy, good service.
