Excellent company. Salesman was thorough and knowledgeable. Started the job on time and finished on or ahead of time. Cleaned up after themselves everyday. I highly recommend them.

We just had our 30 yr old roof replaced with Payne and Sons and as a realtor I am very familiar with the roofing industry and I not only use them for my personal home but refer them to clients as well. Their pricing is competitive and their quality is top notch. Their lead time is also very quick which is important when you need repairs or replacement done as soon as possible (which most people do right?!). Give Jason a call… you won’t find anyone better!!!

When we complained about the work being sloppy and even incomplete it took a week of pestering them to get a crew to the house to address our concerns. Bad communication. Then the foreman got frustrated with my wife (she was still unhappy with the excessive use of caulking) and said some inappropriate words in Spanish… not knowing that she understood.
If you don’t mind expensive sloppy work and poor communication then these are the guys for you.

Easy to communicate with. I felt they had a solid and sound understanding of what repairs I needed on my roof in February.
They didn’t try to fix things that didn’t really need it. They were trustworthy thorough and completed quality work.
I will use them again for sure.

I used Payne and Sons for my flat roof refoaming 5 years ago. They did an excellent job and I have had no problems with my roof. Now they are doing the 5-​year re-​coat, and I know they will do another great job. They are professional, prompt, and honest, and I highly recommend them for your roofing work!

I recently found Payne and sons via HomeSmart/​service magic. They had excellent reviews so I hired them for a small roofing and drywall project.
I will say I am very impressed and beyond happy with the work. The repair was due to bad drainage and all the AZ rain we received last year. Jason was quick to respond and gave us a few options for the job. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons with the different materials etc. They compared well to other estimates we had as well.
I read the other reviews on Unilocal and can only think that if you think you are the only customer a business has then you will always be disappointed. I was informed that once I accepted the bid late on a friday that I would be called on monday. This is totally reasonable and I did not have any issues with this information.
The drywall was also done in a timely and professional manner. Juan did a fabulous job and even fixed a few other «issues» in the imperfection of the surrounding drywall!
Will use and recommend!

We have contracted with Payne & Sons multiple times over the past few years, most recently to completely re-​roof two separate residences in our family. Unlike the other review posted on Unilocal,we found Payne & Sons to be most satisfactory with every job they have have done for us, whether a minor repair or a complete re-​roofing of two tile roofs. When we had a problem with a failed repair on one job, Todd addressed the problem promptly and without further issues. The two re-​roofing jobs that we had done by Payne were done on-​time, within budget, and the crew of Luis Jr. did excellent work. Three different homes on my street have been re-​roofed by Payne & Sons and all of us are completely satisfied with the quality of work and the the cost of the job. I would recommend Payne & Sons to anyone seeking bids on re-​roofing or roofing repairs.

I contacted Payne and Sons regarding some leaks in my roof. They sent someone out a week later to give me a bid. I waited almost t week before I received the bid. Although I was not happy with the slowness of receiving the bid, I accepted it, and was then told that they couldn’t schedule the work for a month because they were so busy. The work was scheduled for Nov. 25^th, on Nov. 24^th I called the company to confirm that they would be there the next day to do the work, and they assured me they would. They were supposed to arrive between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. When they did not arrive by 10:00, I called the company again to find out what was going on, and they said they would call me back, but didn’t for another half hour. Finally Jayson Payne called and said «one of his guys mistakenly thought the work was scheduled for the 26^th (even though I called to confirm the 25!) The workers finally arrived around 11:00 to do the job.
When it rained a week later, my roof leaked AGAIN, so I called the company and told them, since the work was supposedly warrantied for 5 years. They said they’d call me back to let me know when someone would come out to check the leak. No one called for 5 days so I called again, and they said they would call me the next day, but never did. BEWARE of this company! Payne and Sons is not a reputable company and does not stand by it’s work. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

I would love to give this company some kind of review but after scheduling us for an afternoon on a Saturday, waiting for them, calling them and getting no return call, apology or explanation, I can say Payne and Sons is a pain. Not a good way to start with a new customer.
