Youthful memories don’t usually last as long as their owners wish, but some fragments manage to stay. Looking back at the years of dwelling at Northfield Mount Hermon, through the unbearable boredom and endless routines shines the greasy, smokey, and delicious fume of Hayden Grill. After a hard day’s work, students are always pleased to find the open grill, operated by a few of the friendly kind, often with the help of a a jazzy faculty member, flipping ground beef burgers incessantly – only to the delight of the hungry Lamplighters. Lines form, but so do friendships. Hayden Grill has been an integral part to the Northfield Mount Hermon community, and all hope it shall last.
