Charles is very thorough in his inspection. His report is well documented with pictures. He spends the time to explain everything in detail and gives practical suggestions on how to get things fixed. With his past experience as a general contractor, he actually knows what he is talking about.
Waaaay better than my previous inspector! I highly recommend Charles Allen for your home inspections.

Charles is this one-​man company and there is a reason why he has all 5-​star reviews on Unilocal!
He inspected my townhouse and I was very happy with the inspection for the following reasons:
— He was very thorough and found some things that the seller’s inspection did not pick up.
— He explained features to me, like the type of foundation I have, the safety features, and how square footage was calculated.
— He was prompt and professional with the actual report.
— He charged me $ 200 for a weekend inspection (no additional fees for weekend or mileage), which was ~$ 100-​$ 150 less than what larger companies wanted to charge.

As a potential new homebuyer we had called Charles and he totally awed us with his work & professionalism. His vast knowledge makes tasks look easy. I have dealt with other contractors, but Charles is the best in his profession and I would rate him as one of the top «2013 Bay Area Professional». I highly recommend Charles.
On other note, Charles has great sense of Humor… Keep it up Charles and it’s nice to have someone, who can be trusted.

Charles was a wealth of information. I’ve been in construction for over 25 years and he has even longer, at last someone who really knows what he is talking about!!! I HIGHLY recommend Charles. When we buy our new home, we have only 1 choice to make sure it is ok, that is CHARLES!

His years of experience as a contractor and home inspector was helpful in understanding what problems were big, small or needed additional inspections to determine.
