I stopped by the Gilroy outlets this weekend just to enjoy some hot weather & check out the new shops. I wasn’t in the market to pick up some new shoes but after speaking with Max, I was sold on some new running shoes! When I walked in, I walked into the typically Foot Locker environment. Shoes on the walls from top to bottom & the sales kids hanging out by the counters talking about their personal lives. As I looked around, I saw the New NIKE plus shoes that are made to track your miles & calories on the iPhone. If you know me, you know I am addicted to the iPhone!(Best phone on the market in my opinion!) A girl walked over & asked if I needed help. I asked how this new NIKE plus connection worked with the iPhone; she gave me a blank stare and said I don’t know. Then, Max walked over & began answering my question. He was so knowledgeable. I told me I wanted to get back into running & needed a great running shoe. He said that in his opinion, I would be better offer with Asics shoes because of the new dual gel technology. He provided me with a ton of information, had me try on the Asics vs. NIKE and I was sold. I ended up buying the new Asics shoes! Although they didn’t have the color I wanted, he did offer to order them for me with free shipping. But at the end of the day, color doesn’t matter, only comfort does! Thanks Max for your help & knowledge!

We’ve all been a foot locker before, I’m sure. The only reason you would travel out to Gilroy to go to one is because it’s conveniently located with the outlets so you’ll hope they have outlet prices. Unfortunately, that’s wrong. Not only do they charge the same as any foot locker in a mall, but the customer service is awful. On the several occasions I’ve walked in the store I’ve been stared at. I’ve even gone as far as to pick up a shoe, declare I would definitely buy it, and say something to the effect of «If I could just get it in my size», but to no avail. I’ve left frustrated several times(without shoes, needless to say) because I was never offered help. I’ve often said I would write a letter, but I figured this is better.
