Milias Barber Shop

Working in Gilroy away from home and needed a haircut. Saw the reviews here and thought I would give these folks a try. It is Saturday, the shop is tiny and a little crowded, so I had a chance to observe the three barbers in action. All three seemed to take their time, being very meticulous and they took the same care with kids’ hair as adults’.
When it was my turn (about 40 minuted after I walked in), Maria, who had never seen me before, did a very precise and meticulous job, nearly to the point of annoying because she was being so particular. Now I can needle my regular barber of 15 years because someone else did a better job than he does. The price is good, too. Too bad I don’t live near here, I would be a regular. Thanks, Maria!

Busy but worth the wait. Cash only can be a drag sometimes but those are the rules. All the barbers are really good.

If you are looking for a bad haircut DO NOT GO HERE!!!
But if you are looking for one of the BEST haircuts you have ever had then Milias is the place.
Jesus took his time to properly cut my hair. Even though there was a customer waiting he was very adamant to insure I was satisfied. I have been to shops when the stylist seems to speed up and make errors when there is another customer waiting. Super Cuts you can go to hell!!!
Old timey type of shop. Still uses straight razor to get close around the back of the neck and around the ears.

Place was clean, wasn’t too busy and the gentleman and Lady who cut my boys hair were very polite and know how to deal with my wild boys. They worked quickly and when they were done the boys looked great, this is going to be my new barbershop.

I came here because Town Plaza was late to open in the morning again so I found this place. The person who cut my hair was Jesus and overall he did a good job. I asked for a taper on the sides and back with a scissor cut on top. The taper wasn’t as tight as other barbers do it but was still a clean haircut. Would definitely come here again.

Best of the classic barber shops! My son Jimmy is 8 years old and has never had a cut from anyone other than Jesse, who gave him his very first haircut! Jesse gives the best and tightest cuts around… only downside is he is usually super busy and you will have to wait… but it’s worth it. Bring a magazine or an Ipod and sit back and relax, watch him work and do his magic. always fun to people watch too… there might be some good ‘chisme’ you’ll catch from the clientele too… he’s in the heart of Garlic city, usually lots of parking available along Monterey St… next time you go in, say, ‘Orale Jesse, I read about you on Unilocal!”…

Took my teenage son there for a buzz cut. Jesus was his barber. He was fast and precise. My son even had a razor trim around his ears and neckline (which was new experience for him). More importantly my son liked the hair cut and the price was very reasonable. We will return.

Just went here and received the best haircut. Straight razor trim around the ears and neck. Old school and very well done. Stop going to great clips where the customer service is horrible.

I’ve been looking for a decent reliable barber in the Gilroy-​Morgan Hill area for several years — someone with a barber’s license on the wall. I walked into Milia’s Barber Shop from the train one afternoon, and I got the best haircut I have had in years. I’ve been back since then, and the haircut always looks good.
The barbers are all bilingual in English and Spanish, and you will hear conversations going on in both languages. Just sit back and enjoy warm Latin hospitality before you leave with a great haircut.
