We had a consultation here right after our consultation with Dr. Waflebakker. Dr. W’s office was busy and staff were super friendly (too friendly). When the doc came out into the lobby to get a drink of water, he introduced himself and was such a personable man!
Then we get to Dr. Gallagher’s office and it was the exact opposite. The office was super quiet, and the ladies at the front desk barely looked up, much less said very much. Dr. G came out to the waiting room and went right past me to talk to another parent. He didn’t stop to introduce himself — at this point, I didn’t even know he was the orthodontist. When we finally went into his office — he was really personable. But he got way off subject and started talking about movies. Since it was our second consultation of the day, my kids and I were exhausted. But he just kept talking about movies and his personal stuff instead of about the treatment. He showed us some graphs on the computer and it looked like he really knew what he was doing. But I just couldn’t go there for the next 2+ years and be greeted by his not-​so-​friendly staff and then have to sit through talking to the doc about non-​ortho stuff. So we decided on another doctor, and my kids will get their braces next week!
