This place is great! Prices are consistent with quality. I had the albacore poke special salad with mango and seaweed, very good and not overly seasoned as some places would make poke. I couldn’t pick what I wanted from the menu so the sushi chef (Toby) offered to make something off the menu, his own creation, which was probably one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. This roll (see photo) consisted of probably every type of fish out there, topped with thin slivers of lemon and jalapeño. I absolutely recommend this place; although different cuisine than the other Alyeska resort dining establishments, this had by far the best service, ambiance, food and experience.

I was fortunate enough to have dinner at Sakura during my stay the Alyeska Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and freshness of the Sushi, and the service was good at making sure food was quickly delivered and that my cucumber-​infused water (interesting choice) was full.
Other than not liking one of their rolls (which was way too spicy), the rest of the food was excellent. If you’re in the mood for sushi, this is definitely a great place to eat at.
You also have a choice of sitting at the sushi bar or at one of their family style tables. The sushi bar worked out great for me.

Excellent sushi! This is one of the better sushi places in Alaska. Great food, quality, freshness. It was very loud and very busy due to the «Slush Cup» events yet we still got quality seafood and service.

Great sushi boat and excellent service at the sushi bar. I was very skeptical of a Hotel sushi bar, however, I would go back after the great experience and food.
