Almost 3 years since my original review and this is still one of my favorite places! I still love the HB steak, but have also tried their steak. This is one of the few places that can make a medium-​well steak correctly. Not overdone or underdone and consistently good.
I am not a fan of their rolls. (Frozen, Sister Shubert kind) But the freshness and quality of the other ingredients more than makes up for that.

Really enjoy Tumbleweed’s steakhouse. About 4 years ago was my first time trying it out and I ordered the Country fried steak. The Steak was just as big as the plate! Not exaggerating either. The last few times I have been the country fried steaks have been getting smaller but still a good portion size to fill me up. My husband always orders the Catfish and loves it. Nice quaint restaurant with good service.

I was out of town on business working in the area. A co-​worker who resides in Michigan recommended this restaurant saying it was the best steak he had ever eaten. So with that, it left me curious. I went there with another co-​worker and left unsatisfied. I cannot say it’s the best steak I’ve ever had or even close. I’ve had better at Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse. I would think if you’re going to name your restaurant as a «Steakhouse». you’d better have great steaks. It might be a great place to the locals who live there but I doubt I will go out of my way to go eat there again.

Third trip just average all trips. This trip ordered meatloaf, fried okra and baked potato. Meatloaf was average, fried okra tasted freezer burned. And for a steakhouse you have to do better than frozen rolls

Love this place! Everyone is super nice and the food is awesome! Cheap prices as well! Everything tastes as if it was homemade! We go to church with the owners and this is our favorite place to eat Sunday lunch!!!

The food was great but the service was pretty slow. However, they seemed a little understaffed, so that may have been the problem.
Fried pickles appetizer was among the best I’ve ever had and the steak was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Sides were fine and nothing amazing nor horrible and the salad was about what you’d except. All in all, a good experience and well worth it.

Delicious Texas/​southern food right here. If you’re looking for the real deal in a comfortable family-​friendly restaurant that is the right sweet spot between «large» and «intimate», Tumbleweed’s is the place.
If you’re not sure what to get, the chicken-​fried steak is where it’s at! Get it with gravy smothered over the top.

Very tasty food in a clean atmosphere. Things seemed a bit disorganized when we first arrived but the staff quickly got everything under control. We had mostly steaks, a hamburger, soup, and an appetizer. The salad before the meal was cold and crisp. The soup was delicious. Our steaks were cooked to order and well seasoned. The baked potato was either overcooked or left over from the day before. If I had to guess, I would say the latter. It tasted more like a twice-​baked potato than a freshly baked one. Service was very good despite the server having several tables. I will definitely return.

Was so surprised. This place is awesome. Never would have believed I could get a wonderfully prepared steak in Gladewater. I am so thankful that my parents took us there for lunch. Prices are reasonable, service was splendid, & the food… AWESOME.

My wife’s steak was spoiled. Smelled like death. They offered to cook her another one but after an experience like that we took a pass. The cook came out to apologize and had on dirty warm ups. No wonder he couldn’t smell the rotten steak. Won’t be back.

Great food! Friendly waitresses! The fried pickles are wonderful and the chicken strip salad is wonderful! I know it is a steakhouse, but have yet to try the steak.
