What’s with people complaining about prices? There’s a menu that lists the prices, if you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to purchase it! Everything at this restaurant is delicious and extremely fresh. I absolutely love it, especially since I try to eat healthy. Thank you for this great establishment!!!

Green Zebra is literally the most disgusting crap I have ever eaten. Now let’s be clear, if you’re like me, you go to a salad place because you’re feeling«healthy» that day, knowing that you’re gonna load that salad with like 50 things to make it unhealthy. That’s impossible at Green Zebra, because this sad excuse for a salad place doesn’t even have salad. It has this weird, brownish shit that I assume is supposed to be lettuce. The toppings are just ass. Also after you eat their once, I’m 100% sure you will have some type of gastrointestinal illness.

Great salad here when touring Rowan university. Was really impressed with options and quality of ingredients. The location was clean and the service was great. All in all a great place for student to enjoy some healthy food!

Green Zebra always has good fresh salads and wraps. I’m here a couple of times a month when I’m looking for a fresh choice. Great local business owner. Reasonable prices for such good healthy food. You can get cheaper food elsewhere, but real good food ain’t cheap.

Really like this place, I am watching my diet and everything they serve here is delicious and healthy and unique. I’m staying at the Marriott hotel across the street and it is so easy to walk here and eat Lunch.

I like the local produce support and environmental consciousness here but it is pricey for what you get and what the raw(literally) material cost is for the meal items. I spent $ 8 on a wrap consisting of greens, black beans, almonds, apple and sun dried tomatoes. If it exploded with taste than I could have been satisfied. But the combo of flavored did nothing for my taste buds. The other two orders in my party were salads and at $ 11 minimums it was just hard to justify. Those were well received by my 16 and 12 y.o. daughters but would they have purchased here with their own money. Best of luck but I have doubts.

Overpriced salads. Eleven dollars for a basic salad is unbelievable. Wont return. The will not be in business long at these prices/value.

It’s nice to support a small business but hard when you pay $ 11 for a salad that’s half the size of near by competitors. GZ is nice inside and is a paradise for vegans, but if your short on cash and want a salad that’s filling and that has some type of meat, look elsewhere.

This place was wonderful!!! I am in love!!! So I walked in and the décor was warm and inviting. I was serviced by the owner and she was sweet and accommodated my requests. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was so fresh and filling. The salad dressing was organic. The owner gave me a free organic soda and I must admit that it tasted wonderful!!! I recommend that everyone go to this place because this is a true treat!!!

I don’t particularly ‘like’ salad as a meal but living in Glassboro and having a desire to support small local business I gave it a try. I built my own salad. I found the ingredients to be very fresh although the mixed greens had very little arugula in them and I LOVE arugula. I asked for the dressing on the side and it too was tasty. I like the gimmick of it being organic and using locally grown products and compostable materials. I hope it takes off and is a successful venture!

This is officially my favorite place for salad and healthy food. Green Zebra is a brand new mom and pop place on Rowan’s campus. It is located on the circle with parking in the rear. Small, with about 10 tables, and very bright. Super friendly service, attentive to their customers, and earth conscious with their compostable everything. If I remember correctly they are completely organic and have some local produce. The salads are very fresh, very leafy, and delicious. Each topping on the salad is ¼th of a cup, which ends up making a perfectly balanced salad. I’ve tried all of the salads, and the only one that I didn’t like was the Tomatillo(too tangy), The rest are amazing(Roma, Green, Sun Dried, Beefsteak and Grape salads). It is hard to pick a favorite, I like anything with zebra greens(mostly baby spinach and a little bit of arugula), the sun dried has black beans which I was a little leery of but work well, the wasabi peas in the beefsteak are interesting, and the tuna/onion vinaigrette mix deliciously in the Green salad. You can also make your own salad. Now, the most important thing about Green Zebra, more important than the awesome salads, more important than the friendly service… THEYHAVEBANANAWHIPS! The only place I have ever seen a banana whip is at Bashful Banana on the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk. Banana whips are ripe, frozen bananas that are put through a food processor. It has the consistency of ice cream, is a healthy dessert that tastes great. I usually get mine plain, but I believe you can order it with traditional ice cream toppings. I would recommend getting a small, because I find these things to be really filling. The only down side to Green Zebra is the price. I personally think that $ 8 for a salad is a bit extreme, but it seems to be on par with SaladWorks and Panera, so if you are ordering a giant salad somewhere I guess you expect those types of prices. I think a health conscious place like this needs some nutritional information posted somewhere — some food for thought for the owners if they are listening. Edit: they were listening, and extremely detailed nutritional information is available in a binder behind the counter. P. S. in the fall, the squash apple soup is really great, flavorful and nicely spiced.

One of the best salads I’ve had in a long time — blows away the chain competitors with local, organic salad dressings and super fresh ingredients. The menu features salads and wraps named for the type of tomato included. We sampled the two most popular salads — the Tomatillo and the Roma. The Tomatillo had a delicious variety of Mexican themed ingredients(avocado, corn, jalapeño) topped with a chipotle ranch dressing that complimented them perfectly. The Roma featured some of the best fresh mozzarella I’ve ever had, bell peppers, basil and roma tomatoes. Both came with chicken which tastes like real chicken should as opposed to the dry, tasteless stuff you typically find at a salad shop. Also sampled the Oogave Organic Soda — my favorites were the Cola and Key Lime. Other than the food, the owners clearly put a lot of thought into the design with eco-friendly touches like reclaimed wood, wine cork floor tile and a recycled glass countertop. Oh, and all the dishware from the soda cups to the utensils is compostable! If I lived in South Jersey and not NYC I’d visit Green Zebra on the regular!

So you are in Glassboro, and it’s time to eat, and you want to have something healthy… Like a salad. No, not one from Wendy’s or McDonalds, that have been packaged and shipped. Not iceberg and a few hard tomatoes from one of Glassboro’s pizzerias. And not one from Saladworks. Been there, done that. You should try Green Zebra. There are six salads, each named for a different to ago, but you can substitute toppings to satisfy your wishes. You can also design your own. Delicious, Organic salad dressings. Rather have it as a wrap? No problem. Salads come with a mini bagel and wraps come with a pickled tomato. The butternut squash soup is thick and creamy. The soda is made with agave sweetener, and Green Zebra is the only place in New Jersey that serves it. Even the dessert is amazing. A banana whip is simply a frozen banana put thru a machine that turns it into a concoction like soft serve ice cream. It’s topped with chocolate chips, or anything else you want from the salad toppings. Best of all are the owners Jen and Corey. Both Glassboro natives, the Green Zebra has been a dream of theirs for years. Careful thought has gone into every aspect of their restaurant. The chairs are recycled coke bottles. The floor is recycled cork. The wood is from the Baltimore Harbor. The counter has recycled glass molded into it, and the restroom door’s sign is recycled license plates. The paper products are all recyclable. It tastes good. It looks good. It smells good. Try it!

The place is clean and new and has a great philosophy, I just don’t think it’ll do too well between saladworks and the salad place the Rowan student center offers for meal plans. Its basically the same deal. I got the roma, no basil or peppers, sub mushrooms and onions. My mix was supposed to come with arugula and spinach and when i got home there was no arugula. i asked for light dressing and they drenched it. could use some work. the organic soda was delicious though
