I rarely give 1 star to places that I’ve always had success with before. This time was a bit different. We were in Jersey for the weekend at a basketball event and wanted to get something delivered to the gym. I found out that this JJ location was able to deliver. I ordered online. The sandwiches came right at noon. Everything was fine. I waited a bit to eat my sandwich. When I finally opened up mine I pulled it apart and found a LARGE ant with wings.(Later to find out that they’re called carpenter ants) anyway I was pretty grossed out and didn’t want to eat anymore. I debated on calling them back. I finally did, and the first employee on the phone sort of giggled at me. I’m not sure if that was because he didn’t believe me or something else. He got a manager on the phone which took a few minutes. I explained the the manager what happened. He assured me that they make their sandwiches on high table tops and what seemed to me like he felt like I was making it up. Who makes up a flying ant being in their sandwich. He asked what I wanted to do and I just asked for a refund. He promptly said that he would have an employee come back and get the sandwich. And that he couldn’t refund me just the sandwich because I paid with a card. He offered me another sandwich but I’m not going to eat from a place that gave me a sandwich with a flying ant in it, obviously accidently but that wasn’t happening. Since I declined the offer for the new sandwich he offered me a credit on my JJ account, which I don’t have. He said well next time you call the store you’ll get one on the house. I explained that I live 200 miles away and I’m sure they don’t deliver that far. I declined that. It was great that they gave me some options but just basing it off of working in retail before and just dealing with people. They should have done everything they could have to find a solution. My whole order was $ 15, they easily could have just credited the whole order. So I trashed the sandwich and was disappointed in JJ’s for the first time in my life. I’m sure it was a once in a blue moon type situation but I figure with such a large chain, even if it is independently owned could have done better from a management perspective.

I’ve ordered a few times, pretty good sandwiches, could be a little better but delivery is super fast and makes up for it.

The service is so quick, I had just gotten my debit card back when they immediately handed the hoagie over.

Ridiculously quick, got the receipt in my hand and my hoagie was already ready. Super clean hoagies and very nice staff my personal favorite is the beach club.

The restaurant is clean and looks nice. The staff is friendly. There is a nice parking lot. There is never a wait. The ingredients they use are fresh. The reason I’m giving them 2 stars, is their bread. We are in South jersey, and we are used to amazing bread — Liscio’s bread. On a South Jersey sandwich, bread is critical. Jimmy John’s bread is soft and icky —. If they would just go down the street an 1⁄8 of a mile and get some long rolls from Liscio’s, we would eat there. Heck, from what I’ve heard from friends, I think their business would increase greatly. I would like to see Jimmy John’s succeed, but every time we drive by, the parking lot is mostly empty. Please consider maybe just picking up a couple rolls and offering it as an alternative? –J

Quickest drive through around and a pretty good sandwich! Literally pay and they have your sandwich freshly made and ready to go. Can’t beat $ 6 for a sandwich and chips!

I’ve been to the Glassboro Jimmy John’s 3 maybe 4 times — and the first thing I will say is that their quality is consistent; even more than other sub shops at the same price point. Their staff is friendly, facilities are clean, and they are FAST — there isn’t much of a wait in line. The last time, I ordered online — and it was ready for me as I pulled up to the drive-through. The food is always fresh. There’s nothing«fancy» about it that would irritate anybody with sensitivities to spicy foods. More importantly, I never feel bloated after eating it? Not sure why that is. So, I’m giving this place a solid four. What would push it to the 5-star-level? Include gourmet offerings; a wider selection of breads, a sandwich press for panini-style offerings, a free pickle bar like a NY-style jewish deli… or perhaps custom mustards. I’m sure this would raise the price and affect their branded simplicity; but that would put the icing on the cake for the 5th star!

First had these as a gift from a client for lunch. First franchise in area. Nice change to the Wawa hoagie world. Fresh food with good service and prices for great quality food worth it. Innovative sandwiches for the area. Something for everyone. Close to Rowan. Hope the business picks up. Just good quality food at decent prices. A must try.

the only thing good about this experience was the kid who made my sandwich and the convenience of a drive-throgh(which I didn’t use.) The bathroom was clean enough i guess. Boring décor, lame vibe. Unfortunately the manager was an imbecile and the food was garbage-worthy. I hate half of a half of my hoagie. Crappy food+crappy leadership=2star on Unilocal. That’s what I get for not going to Wawa or Jersey Mike’s. Lesson learned.

The last time I went there they under-charged my internet order by 1 cent and when I went to pick it up they insisted I go to my car and get a penny instead of just eating the lousy cent.

They stay true to the brand. Speed and accuracy is such a wonderful combination. It’s refreshing to finally have a real sub place around here other than WaWa. Must stop in if your looking for quality sandwiches!

Just another chain sub shop… So they are new and had to try it. Have tried other locations and was not impressed, even so thought I would give a local a try. The subs are nothing to brag about. Convienent drive through, friendly staff but just another lame sub. The bread is just a basic soft roll. The meat on the sandwich was as always skimpy, and the ‘matoes were blah. Its a tough location to put a chain sub shop as NY Deli is right up the road and Liscios in the other direction with about the best subs in South Jersey and the prices are comparable. Anyway, they do have drive through convenience and friendly service.

How could it be better! Service is just as fast as promised, the help is cheerful and dedicated. The store is fun and irreverent. But the subs are the stars. Try the Vito or the Beach Club, perfectly priced and delicious. Great place to stop and grab a quick bite.

We could not have been more pleased with our delivery today! I always heard they specialized in fast delivery but WOW! I ordered at 12 pm and it was delivered to my apartment by 12:08 pm…8 minutes for delivery! The subs were delicious and it’s also amazing that they are $ 4.50 each! Bruce was possibly the nicest person on the phone AND he was the one to deliver our subs. Service was absolute incredible. They definitely have our business. I’ll spread the word, keep up the AMAZING work!

Awesome service! So fast, friendly, and also accurate. I don’t know what that one guy is talking about as far as there not being a list of things you can add or remove from your sandwich. It’s right on the printed paper menus and the menu sign. Perhaps he just doesn’t know how to read, and that’s certainly not their fault. And all the crew is so friendly, they tell you to take your time and that they’d be happy to answer any questions. I ordered a complicated club and expected to have my order turn out wrong in some way, but it was made to perfection and I received it before I was even done checking out at the register. And the taste is superior to Subway and Wawa(if you’d rather have those, all I can say is that you’re probably not the classiest person around). You can definitely tell that the bread is baked fresh and the meats aren’t that prepackaged, precut crap. Make sure to get a pickle, too! They’re delicious!

After getting some first day jitters out of the way, the service has been pretty good. Very friendly people, very quick service. They make your sandwich as you are ordering, so I had to repeat myself a couple times, but aside from my first visit, the food has been made accurately. I would still like it if there was more readily available information about what toppings you can add to a sandwich. I find myself reading each custom sandwich description to find what is available for toppings(I just realized they have avocado spread). They do that weird thing that Subway does(or maybe used to do) where they rip out the inside of the bread(presumably to make more room for the meat, but there aren’t large portions of meat). I am a firm believer that the bread can make or break the sandwich, so I always see this practice as a detriment. The bread itself wasn’t bad, it would have been nice if all of the roll made it into my sandwich. The second sandwich I ordered, I asked them to keep all the bread in, this was a better sandwich than my first. The hoagie itself was still nothing to write home about, my usual Wawa hoagie is better. The one thing that this place has over Wawa is that there is a drive through, and the speed that you can get in and out of there. This place works if you don’t want to get out of your car(or want delivery).
