I live right around the corner from Commerce but have never eaten there because they are only open weekdays for breakfast and lunch. I was free today and stopped in for lunch. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Soda, coffee, and water are self serve. The food is pretty good but nothing to get to excited about. I was a little disappointed in the accuracy of the order. My salad was supposed to have a specific dressing with it and came with no dressing. My wife’s sandwich was supposed to have no tomato and came only with tomato. I would like to go back and try their breakfast.

An unassuming breakfast/lunch spot located amongst an otherwise industrial road. The food is always fresh & made to order in virtually no time. Very low key with a extremely courteous staff. Added bonus: You can pretty much get a complete(and delicious) meal for under $ 10. A rarity considering that this place in located in Glastonbury!

This is my go to lunch spot for quick service, tasty food, and a great atmosphere for conversation. When I have the chance for lunch with the wife, this is a perfect place. I love comfort food. Sure, they make nothing that I could not put together at home but I would rather be enjoying the time and be served than shopping for the freshrst foods and expertly assembling them myself. The tuna is amazing as is any sandwich I have tried here. The location is a bit off the beaten tract but is strangely convenient for me. This is not a one and done type of place. It is a restaurant you remember and stop in for its consistently excellent food and service… again and again.

Instead of going to Subway this is great place, fast service and extremely reasonable prices. Their sandwich bread is baked fresh. Fresh baked goods. One of my favorite sandwiches is their BLT with provolone cheese and mayo it is awesome! I called in an order and in less than 5 minutes before they closed at 2, it was ready. Beat that Panera.

Had the grilled chicken sandwich and side of red potato salad. Both lacked seasoning and were thirsting for salt+pepper. The sandwich was good besides that. All ingredients were fresh. The potato salad was made with red potatoes, onions, bacon and a balsamic dressing. It looked to have hints of dill also. But it also wanted seasoning. S+P raised it significantly. A lot of the special wraps are pre-made for quick execution, but that means that they can’t be altered ie; I wanted a hot turkey wrap but it came with a Chipotle mayo, I don’t eat mayo and asked to hold it, but it pre-made so it wasn’t possible. I would expect a business to make one to order in that case to please the customer, but that wasn’t offered. Bummer. I will be back because it’s a nice clean place with nice people working here.

OK… here’s the thing… breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Whether is simple poached eggs and toast or an omlette packed with veggies, meats and cheeses… this place does not disappoint. If you like cinnamon toast… I mean really LOVE cinnamon toast, this stuff will rock your world. Great food and service well above the prices… highly recommended! …andy m

Went back to this restaurant this morning. Ordered the same egg white cheese omelet with onions and tomatoes. Same wonderful taste. And same low price. The person taking my order very pleasant. It may be hard to find but it is on the same street with the Irish American Home Society so just follow the signs for the Irish home(from Hebron Avenue). TRAVELKAL

Overall good. good for a fast lunch. Menu hasnt really been improved much over the last couple of years. some of the ingredients are a bit on the low quality side too. overall, i like it. costs are good and good execution.

A lot of my coworkers come here for a quick lunch and I’m trying to figure out why. The food is quick and pretty ordinary, the service is ok and quick, the prices are not exorbitant. The whole thing is pretty much ok. I ordered the beef mushroom and cheese special expecting something like a cheese steak. Well it was something like it but also like a hot roast beef and gravy sandwich. Not bad but not worth going out of you way for. They have no fryalator so chips are there instead of fries and a lot of the of the stuff is pre-prepared, thus fast. Maybe that is the attraction. Fast Food without the chains.

This place is really a gem and worth checking out if you are in town. I came here upon a local’s recommendation and was very happy to find a place that serves fresh and local food daily. I had a fantastic tuna sandwich with an olive tapenade that really blew away my expectations of any simple lunch meal. My only complaint is that its not open on the weekend!

Commerce Eatery feels nearly brand-new, from the nicely landscaped access ramp outside and the lightly weathered log exterior, to the clean and contemporary seating area. You order at the counter, get your coffee from a spigot, and a few minutes later along comes the server with a plate of goodness. I don’t really ask more than that for breakfast, but wait, there’s more. The home baked breads they prepare are a delight to the palate. Breakfast toast in many places is an afterthought; at Commerce Eatery, it has pride of place. My corned beef hash took a step away from the traditional high-fat version, bringing out more of the corned beef flavor and reducing the potato flavor. Some very tasty home fries gave me plenty of that to enjoy, too. It’s pretty quiet, so good for conversation. It’s bright and airy, and the staff is kind and friendly. They’re paying real attention to the food they put on the plates, and it’s paying off. This is a great place to start the day.

This is a great place and it’s hidden, so do yourself a favor and seek it out. It’s a great breakfast and lunch joint. You can get hamburgers and grill fare. But they have excellent specials. The service is great and the interior is very bright. The place is the bomb in the summer when you can eat outside.
