Strand Salon

Great salon, with stylists who truly know hair care and trends. Coming from New York where great salons are usually easy to find, I was worried to find someone great in this area.
So happy with my cut and color, and I continue to get compliments even weeks later.
Highly recommend this salon.

For the first time in three (probably more) years I feel like I’m worthy of beauty and being beautiful.
Going in, I was terribly nervous. I didn’t know what to expect from this higher end salon with such gorgeous people who were passionate about fashion, style, and good looks. After all, I had avoided a salon trip for a year due to several «hair-​bully» experiences in a row. I expected to be judged for avoiding my hair care, looked at like I wasn’t worth stepping through their door. To my surprise none of my fears were brought to life. I was treated with warmth, respect, and nurtured back to a state of feeling like a person.
Sandy was my stylist. She sat me down, shook my hand, and got to know me and my hair situation promptly. She was friendly, but not to the point where I felt like I had to speak. The main focus of her work was my hair, and I really liked that about sitting in her chair. After getting the initial greetings and hair profiling out of the way she sent me off to the washing station and I had the most amazing, relaxing, shampoo and condition of my life. I briefly zoned out, and was gently brought to once the wash was done.
Sandy immediately went to work on my hair. She was like this lean, mean, hair-​cutting machine. Every thing she did was precise and passionate. While cutting my hair she put up with all of my hair concern questions, set aside products for my take home, and carefully taught me how to upkeep my style. She took extra care to style my hair for me before being done, which was a huge plus since I had a company party to attend.
Before I left, I also had the pleasure of meeting Lindsay. She was also passionate, bright-​eyed, and excited to take on a coloring job with my hair. Again, she quickly profiled my hair with confidence. I intend to set up an appointment with her for a Balayage the next time I set an upkeep appointment with Sandy.
I can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for being wonderful and bringing people back to life. I’m no longer scared, and I don’t feel useless; that’s one of the best things you can give to someone.

I was in Boston with my son and his father and decided to make the trip down to Strand Salon while I was on the east coast.
I had a 10AM appt with Jen the Master Colorist and then a cut and blow dry at 12:15PM by her husband Paul. Unfortunately Jen was under the weather but she was in contact with me letting me know that she was trying to make it and if not that she’d put me with one of her best colorists besides her. She wasn’t able to make it and had me see Lindsay Ritchie. I was a little nervous because on the Website or said colorist in training but after talking to her and telling her what I wanted I was at ease about it. She darkened my base and then put balayage throughout my hair and then glosses the rest of it. When she was done I could tell my hair had lifted nicely but couldn’t see the full result until Paul had it blowdried.
Paul then went to work and started shaping and cutting my hair which was extremely long. It seemed like so much of it was cut off but by the time he was done the length was still long and beautiful and I had flowing layers, like serious layers everywhere. It felt soft and light and I love it. My boyfriend is mourning the loss of my long locks but fuck him. I love my hair :) it’s amazing.
I’d seriously fly back there from Vegas to have it maintained. Also another thing that was awesome is they don’t charge to blow dry if you’re getting a cut. I’m so used to the salons in Vegas charging for it so that was a nice surprise.

Im not a hip and trendy type of person kind of «plain jane» and while this salon is trendy they definitely don’t make you feel uncomfortable! In my whole adult life I havent found such a great salon! Because Im not an every 6 wk type person more like a 6 month person my color held up GREAT! The mix of client ages is nice to see. They are warm and welcoming and treat everyone with the upmost respect! My hair is gorgeous! My 18 yr old daughter comes here too and they treat her just as well! The price definitely reflects the quality of service!!! It’s always extremely busy but I always feel as if I get personal attention. As a mom I enjoy that children arent running around the salon or crying, it’s my adult time. Will never go anywhere else and you should be here ASAP, you wont regret it!

I just got my hair done today and I couldn’t be more impressed with the professionalism and uplifting spirits of the staff. Jen and Paul both did my hair and it came out fabulous. I have been going to strand for over a year and wouldn’t consider going to anyone else. If you are in need of a hair cut. go to strand you won’t be dissapointed!

This hair salon is amazing! I have been trying to find a hairstylist in my area for years and no one could seem to get it right. After a friend went there and I saw how amazing she looked after she was done, I had to give it a try. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had. The staff is so friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. They know what looks good and most importantly what is going to keep your hair healthy and beautiful. While I was there I saw a woman getting her makeup done, a bride having a trial hair appointment (which came out looking amazing, she’s using them for her big day), a man getting his hair done, trims, all over color, hilights… and everyone I saw leave the salon looked amazing. Not to mention the salon is one of the coolest decorated places I’ve seen. It’s very trendy and modern and definitely very clean.
There is no question that you must go to this salon. You definitely will not regret it.

It’s taken me along time to find someone who cuts my hair that wants me to look good. I cant put into words how i felt leaving. THE ONLY PLACE I GET MY HAIR CUT!!! PERIOD!!! Great service THANKS STRAND SALON!!!

I just had my second experience at strand salon today! I love the trendy unique look of the salon and all the staff was so friendly! Its easy to feel comfortable there and i definetly felt in good hands! All of the staff is so educated in their craft they produce fabulous work! I had an amazing highlight service done today and it came out gorgeous! Very happy :)
