It’s hard to believe this place has been around for at least 10 years (at least since I had first moved to Glastonbury), and it only has 3 reviews. Then again, it’s not in a high traffic area and really only comes off as a convenient store when it offers so much more.
I used to work near here, and this place offers some of the best sandwiches around! They have a deli inside where they slice everything fresh for lunch, and you can choose just about anything you want to put on your sandwich. The menu is huge too ranging from chicken cutlets to Italian subs to big roast beef or turkey sandwiches! The employees are super friendly too and will let you know everything they have back there for your subs. My favorite is the Italian. Not only are the sandwiches great, but they’re all around $ 7-​$ 8 and are enormous! It’s really a great deal, and they’re pretty quick about cranking them out.
On top of the sandwiches, this place offers a decent assortment of grocery items as well as beer! It’s really a hidden gem in this area that probably only the locals know exists, but it’s only about a half mile from exit 10 off route 2, so it’s really easy for anyone to get to. I’m always about supporting local sandwich shops, so if you’re in the area, forget about the Subway next door and check out this spot for some great sandwiches!

Best sandwiches in Glastonbury! They have an extensive menu of creative sandwiches, made with fresh, tasty ingredients. Under new ownership as of about 18 months ago. Glad I stopped in for a paper & milk. They are a convenience store with a deli. They have a few tables in back. I look forward to trying one of their many breakfast sandwiches sometime!

My wife just brought home 2 sandwiches from Country Store Glastonbury. Wow!!! Delicious! I usually just stop in to pick up milk and never took the time to order sandwiches from the new menu. New owner in the last year and a half. No need to stop at the Subway nearby with this quality food. Anyone in the area should check out Country Store Glastonbury the next time they need a good quick sandwich for lunch, dinner or breakfast. Let me know if you have the same reaction!!!

Best tip I can share: This is a cash-​only place. Be sure to bring enough!
The Country Store is located in the same building as Lottie’s Kitchen. They operate similarly to a mini-​7 Eleven, but cleaner and with less merchandise. They also offer bait of all kinds, I have never had need of this so I can’t comment on the selection or the quality.
Prices are on the high side, but there’s no competition in this end of town anyways.
Sandwiches are handmade here and are yummy. Much better than Subway, which is right around the corner. They carry Hershey ice cream products, which for a Philly transplant, makes a wonderful nostalgic treat.
Overall, staff are very nice and do their best to help you out.
