Shortpump Threading – Sola Salon

My eyebrows look great, but I highly suggest you pay cash when getting any service done here. My total was $ 24 including tip. She told me she would charge my card $ 25 and give me a dollar in cash back. A little strange, but I went along with it. A few days later upon checking my bank account, I was actually charged $ 26 and whatever credit card machine she uses, processes as an ATM and I was charged even more by my bank for withdrawing from an ATM other than their own. These overcharges and fees won’t break the bank, but it ended up being a lot more than I was expecting, and that’s never a good feeling. Just a heads up.

I was hesitant to try threading again because of how much it hurt the first time I had it done but she did a wonderful job! It didn’t hurt near as bad and my brows look amazing. Considering I have been paying close to $ ²⁵⁄₂₇ to get them waxed at ulta and bombshell I’m pretty excited that her threading only costs $ 12 AND she’s so quick she can take walk ins (:

Mariam was amazing. My first time coming and she helped me with directions, had a warm greeting when I came in and was fast, efficient, friendly and most importantly pain free. I’ll definitely return

I landed in the hands of this salon due to needing a new reliable consistent place to get my eyebrows done. After reading these reviews I was certain I had made the right choice by trying out Mirium. Quickly I realized this may have been a bad decision. After a quick and what seemed to be good experience I was handed the mirror. Holy cow! Bad bad bad. After not discussing what style I wanted and just jumping into cleaning up my brows it was basically decided for me what they would look like. A bald spot and lots of stray hairs later I left unhappy and will not return. The technician was well aware of my unhappiness but did not rectify and charged me full price for the service. Claiming filling them in with an eyebrow pencil would be the solution.

This place is awesome! excellent price and great quick efficient service. AMAZING results for brows. Super happy with my results yay!

Wonderful! Mariam is excellent. This was my FIRST threading and waxing experience. Needless to say, I am now a regular and frequent customer (hair growth permitting). In two sessions, she had my eyebrows symmetric and perfectly-​defined (what I had been trying to achieve on my own with a pair of tweezers, always falling short). I also gave her Brazilian wax a go and will never look back to hairy nether-​regions. I must say I have stubbed my toe or funny bone in the past with worse pain than that of waxing. The type of wax that she uses in combination with her technique = minimal pain and I am ready to show off «the goods» to my man by later that night (no bumps, redness, or other non-​sexy things).
Of note, I am of Asian ancestry, and Marian is very good working with my hair/​ethnicity type. She was so sweet the first day I met her, telling me to call her when I got near the Pouncey Tract street so she could help direct me to her salon within Sola Salon’s building. I highly recommend her to all of my girlfriends. My boyfriend, too, is thinking about threading for himself (pesky back hairs) after seeing and hearing about my experience with Mariam.

I went almost two weeks ago and I was very pleased. I got there just as she was finishing up someone else, so I basically got right in the chair. She did a great job threading my eyebrows… shaped them attractively and did not make them thin and narrow! She kept them nice and full (width)! She also did my upper lip. I will be returning for another service in the next couple of days! Definitely the place to go!

Über sweet lady. She cleaned my brows nicely and I scheduled a Brazilian for the following week.

The best! These ladies are nice and know what they are doing. They will have your brows looking fabulous. The threading lasts for a long time and looks super clean. Prices are fair. Only con is that it can sometimes feel a bit rushed (not like a poor job but like they are focused on turnover).

Wished I lived in Richmond I would be a regular of this place. Fast, precise, super friendly service. Very welcoming will be back if I’m in the area again!

I am new to the area and not only did Mariam do a great job on my brows (I happen to be very very picky) but she also gave some great tips on other services I could get in the area! I’ll def be back.

I’ve had many Brazilian waxes in my life but what made this experience truly unique is that I laughed almost the whole time and almost didn’t feel a thing (ok maybe a tad exaggerated) however! The services are ultra professional and almost painless. This was my first visit, as I was just visiting Richmond for a short time. When I walked into the salon, I didn’t realize it was like a salon depot, like a variety of little salon offices in combined into one place. Babershop, hairsalon, nail salon, etc. One could possibly spend a whole day receiving beauty services here. Anyway, when I return to Richmond this will be one of my first stops (believe me)!

We were referred by a friend. My teenage daughter was becoming very self conscious about her thick, dark brows. I did not want her to begin waxing, and tweezing is just torture. She is so happy with the results. Her brows are still natural and are shaped beautifully! I also had mine done, and am so pleased with the outcome!

Great little threading salon in Short Pump. The ladies are kind and attentive. They will make sure you are comfortable throughout the whole visit. Reasonable prices and clean atmosphere. I was able to schedule an appointment the day of my visit and did not have to wait.

Made an appointment a month and a half in advance. Get to the salon to get service done and the person did not show up for work. I was very frustrated because they sent me a text 2 days before to confirm my appointment. The employee there stated they would call me later that day to make an appointment for tomorrow. I’m still waiting on a call from them to this day. The employee I spoke with was very nonchalant.

Miriam knows what she’s doing. She is nice, friendly, and can make your choppy eyebrows look like an A list celebrity… ill be back!!! Location is tricky, is is on the backside of the movie theater… when you are facing the theater go around the right side of the strip mall and you’ll see Sola’s…

I bought a voucher through groupon mid may for 9 $ for two threadings. I called to set up a appointment and was told the «lady» that does the vouchers wasn’t there until may 29^th. I was annoyed because I was going out of town but my eyebrows weren’t tragic so I got over it. May 29 rolls around and again I call to set up another appointment and was told this mystery «lady» will be two more weeks. What”!! I ended up getting them waxed and they came out very nice I may add. I happen to be on groupon today June 6 and see they are STILL selling vouchers for this mystery «ladies» voucher. Shame on you short pump!

I’ve been going to Shortpump Threading for a while now. Mariam and her ladies have ALWAYS done an excellent job, going above and beyond to accommodate me and make me happy. They are meticulous and neat, making sure they you look your best. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but I have never experienced any snottiness or inconvenience on my part!
Their only downfall is that they don’t take credit cards– at least, the last I was there, they didn’t. Making an appointment soon to get these eyebrows tamed!

Got everything tight…, eyebrows, toes and no more aunt bunnie!!! Lol I found my new threading home!!! Both ladies are down to earth. And they make sure you’re taken care of from head to toe… literally! Gotta love ‘em!!!
