The Hamptons at Hunton Park

I love this community! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the pool area is a great place to relax and enjoy neighbors. There is an automatic coffee maker in the hospitality room that is great for grabbing coffee on the go.
I’ve lived here for over a year and have founded the management to be very responsive to any issues I’ve had and they were very helpful and accommodating during my move in.
The location is perfect for getting right on the highway and saves so much time for getting to work. You can get just about anywhere in Richmond in just minutes from here.

This is probably a nice place for single people or couples without kids, not sure I recommend it as a family living area. There are no children’s facilities like a playground but a couple of adult oriented areas. There is a swimming pool but unless you take your kids in the middle of a work day it is packed with beer guzzling cigarette and cigar smoking crowd who are not too careful what type of language they use. I do not think the whole community is like that, just the same 15 – 20 people who always seem to be sunbathing at the pool or the volleyball courts. There seems to be nice community grills but they are always taken up in the evenings by the same crowd. Great for adults wanting to socialize, not so much for families not wanting to breath in all the cigarette smoke. Buildings themselves are smoke free so if you are unfortunate enough to have an apartment near the entrance, you get chatty people in the middle of the night smoking right outside your bedroom window. Courteousness of the residents in general is low. Since our door is near the entrance we have had someone leave their trash right outside once and last week a pile of moving boxes and moving dollies were right outside the door for a few days. Neighbor blasts heavy metal music and uses pneumatic power tools in his garage with the door open until 9 – 10 at night. Try putting kids to bed on time with all of that. Trash piles up in disgusting heaps outside of bin because people do not put then in the compactor. Found left trash in mail room twice because someone is too lazy to walk all the way down to the compactor. Best part was found a flat tire on my car last week. Did not think anything if it. This morning my husband’s tire was flat. The car shop said there was no leak someone had let the air out. The management always has a smile on their face and talk really nicely while they tell you too bad, we cannot do anything, deal with the smoke, noise, trash and vandalism.

If you have water damage, windows that continue to leak or mildew it will not be fixed. You will be expected to continue to live in that condition. The staff I thought was nice and professional until that unexpected event! The pool needs repair and the pot holes during the remodeling. Not just painting.

This complex is full of beautiful apartment homes. There are a variety of floor plans to choose from. I really appreciate that because it means that you don’t have to settle for a cookie-​cutter apartment. There are apartment homes with attached garages or you can opt for detached garages. The club house has free wi-​fi, movie theater, pool, grill area, sand volleyball court, gym, pool/​bar area and other amenities. The grounds are very well maintained and residents are friendly.
