The Pediatric Center

We love our pediatrician and this practice. They are always so helpful, both over the phone and in person. The nursing staff is always warm and ready to help your child feel better. I have not had to wait long at all to see my doctor, as some of the reviews have mentioned. Perhaps it depends on which doctor you are visiting or which location. We use their main location in Glen Allen. Dr. Robinson is so knowledgable, I highly recommend him to new patients!
They also have sick visits available so that you can call at 7am and schedule a visit between 8:30 — 9:30 on the same day, which is very convenient when you have a little one who falls ill.

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Port since birth. She is awesome… the most thoughtful and caring pediatrician Ive ever seen. she knows my daughter on site, and takes the time to make her feel comfortable while explaining everything I need to know.
As for the office. I dont understand why it takes so long to get inside to your doctor. what is the point of a scheduled appt time if its still going to be a 45 plus minute wait. I dont unerstand that because when you finally get taken to the room, theres yet another 30 minute wait for the doctor to come in. I know theyre busy, but that waiting is annoying. luckily, we love Dr. Port so we are willing to wait for her.
one nice touch about check in was theyve upgraded their system to use a tablet to check in, its quick and easy and I was even able to pay my co pay with it. I liked this new gadget, it made check in faster.

We have been taking our son to The Pediatric Center since he was born and we love it. Dr. Chun is awesome and we couldn’t ask for a better practice and Doctor to take care of our little man!

We absolutely love our Dr. Port. However from the front desk to the wait in the room not so much. Waiting 30 minutes after appointment time for a quick sick appointment in the room is not acceptable. Especially for the first appointment. Not very quick and it’s just pink eye. Arg.

Since moving to the area, I was nervous about finding all new doctors. I definitely have had a good experience here. The staff and doctors are great. Both my daughters see Dr. Port and we’ve seen Dr. Robinson too… both great. I have never had a long wait, they get seen pretty quickly. Nice and easy. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is a great group of doctors that I highly recommend. My primary doctor is Dr. Fortner, but we’ve seen many of the doctors there and are happy with all of them. The entire staff is so nice and helpful and don’t make me feel silly for calling about little things. The office is always clean and there’s usually a kid movie playing in the waiting room. I’ve never had to wait too long for my appointment — the only time we had a long wait our doctor had an emergency with another patient.
I definitely recommend this practice — we’re going to be moving in a couple of years and I am going to miss them — I hope I can find doctors this good in our new location! Dr. Fortner especially is so nice and really tries to make my baby comfortable during the exam. She takes time to listen to our questions and gives us advice without being critical of our choices.
