Today’s weather was perfect for a good bowl of soup. So I immediately thought of Zoup! I met my brother here for a quick lunch. After hearing about this place and seeing it’s reviews on Unilocal,Im finally here! I loved the immediate greeting and«please let me know if you’d like to taste any of these soups before ordering.“Needing a hearty soup I decided to order the Potato and Cheddar. No sandwich or salad needed today but they have all that available. The place was busy, it’s fairly small but turnover is quick. Customer Service was good overall, although the kid on the cash/credit card register seemed to rather be somewhere else playing a video game. I loved the soup and am already looking forward to my next visit.

It’s like Panera but without the random outside job interviews going on or people camped out with their laptops. I appreciate that they let you sample the soups before ordering. The sandwiches are fine, but nothing to get too worked up about. Salads are fresh.(Something, it seems, a few other Unilocalers would have benefited from doing!) Staff is super friendly, service is fast, restaurant is very clean. My lobster bisque was both delicious and generous in portion. My pesto grilled cheese was fine. It was a little pricey, but comparable to Panera. If you’re looking for a good lunch spot in Innsbrook, give them a try!

I’ve tried two of their ‘zoups’ — chicken noodle soup and chicken pot pie. I loved the latter more, but both soups left a little to be desired. They’re obviously better than what I can make, but there just wasn’t a lot of flavour to fully wow me. The pie crust topping for the pot pie soup, is great though, so I definitely recommend it for a first timer. Plus: WiFi! :)

Aside from the chili I make, this has to be THEWORST chili EVER. Should have been called chunky tomato soup. It was supposed to be bison chili… The tuna salad sandwich was a disappointment as well. Dry albacore with splash of lemon and a caper. The only thing good about the sandwich was the French bread which I ended up eating with butter. The two guys that work there are friendly but slow as molasses. Won’t ever go there again.

Our first time visiting this place called Zoup and, for most of us… it was 2 thumbs up. My husband and I shared a bowl of lobster bisque and a half southwest turkey. The soup was warm and comforting. There was more chunks of lobster in there than I expected and pretty big pieces as well. I was a little apprehensive about the sandwich because of the chipotle mayo(I don’t care for the taste of chipotle) but it was DELICIOUS and just the right amount of kick. My daughter had a whole MTB and she thought it was delicious. She felt the mozzarella was extremely fresh and there was a substantial amount of basil on the sandwich. For my 3 year old grandson she ordered a pesto 3 cheese and that’s where the spectacular reviews change. He enjoyed his sandwich until he saw the pesto at which time he stopped eating his sandwich. He has an excellent pallet for his age. He just has his moments and I think this was a moment for him. So we for sure will be back! Thank you Zoup!

Food is good and I’ve enjoyed most visits, but if they are crowded, you’re better served going elsewhere. It was packed today. I thought ordering just soup would be quick. It took over 45 mins to get a bowl of soup and I was late getting back to work.

Usually go into Zoups at least once a month. I don’t have a favorite soup because everthing I try I love! I do have to say I really do enjoy the Lobster Bisque. My co-worker I go in with typically goes for the Chicken Pot Pie. The fact that you can sample the soup before you make your decision is awesome. Helps you in your deciding factor. I typically go in and know what I want, but then I see something that looks delicous, try it, then get that instead of what I was originally going for. My co-worker and I visit frequently and the staff has become very familiar with our faces, they don’t know us by name, but they know him by soup and they know I’m going to want to try something when I get to the counter. They are very friendly and professional; always smiling. If you are a soup fan, I definitly do recommend this place to you. Wether it be summer or winter time.

Had a chance to visit Zoup for lunch today. The scene is like Chipotle. Semi fast food with plenty of seating. The menu isn’t huge but I didn’t hear anyone complaining. The best part is being able to taste the soup before you buy it. They want you to try before you buy so you know you’ll like what you get. The soup was great. I got the chicken pot pie and it was hardy and tasty. I also tried some of the others and nothing would disappoint. I mean, the place IS called Zoup for crying out loud While the soup was good, the salad was not. Packaged like a convenience store grab and go, the chicken on my Mexican Salad was straight out of the refrigerator packaging. Rubbery and fake tasting. The guacamole seemed like it came from some pre made guacamole tube or something. And the tomatoes somehow tasted just as gross. Next time I’ll definitely try the sandwich and soup combo instead. I will be back though. There’s nothing better than knowing exactly where to get a tasty soup on a cold winter day.

They have some good soup options, particularly the chicken pot pie. It’s fast and you get to sample as much as you’d like. It’s also not too pricey. The Only Down Side Is The location– if it’s too busy in the plaza you may not be able to find parking.

So I have been sick for a little over a week now and when I’m sick I just want soup. Zoup helped me fill my craving and even helped me feel a little better too. Their concept is very much similar to panera bread. However they really do specialize in soups. They have a wide variety of soups that change i don’t know if it’s every month or just with the seasons. What really gave this place points is that you can try their soups to see which one you like. I ended up getting the chicken pot pie soup and since you can get a combo type thing I got a small Greek salad. The soup was very very delicious. It wasn’t just warm it was very hot, which was nice since sometimes when I get soup at panera it’s hardly even warm. The soup was meaty and had tons of flavor. My salad was great too. It came with pepperoncinis, olives, onions and feta with a balsamic dressing. It was really really tasty and their ingredients were fresh. This place is definitely worth a try. I know that once it gets a little bit more chilly I will be coming to this place. It’s cheaper than panera and you can tell their soups are made with the freshest ingredients and doesn’t come from a bag.

This place is quite good, even in summer months. They give free tastings of all their daily soups, and actually encourage you to try as many as you’d like. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, which is not something I expect but something I appreciate. Fresh, flavorful ingredients also don’t hurt. Overall, a great place for a quick bite or a casual date!

Couldn’t think of a better place to get lunch! Love the sample concept. Had some Indian lentil that made sweet love to my tastebuds. Go! You won’t regret it.

Pretty tasty. Zoup has a large selection of soups of which they interchange everyday. I love how they let you know if the soup is gluten free, dairy free, low fat or vegetarian. As I can’t tolerate casein it’s great to not have to ask the staff if any milk derived product is in the soup. I usually get the soup and salad. It’s interesting that the salads don’t list what is contained in each as the soups. But if you do not want an item in your salad they will not add it in as each salad is made to order. They also sell vegetable and chicken broth for you to cook with at home. The employees are really nice and the food is consistent. There is now a punch card that once it is full(I think about eight punches) you get a free meal. This place will be on my lunch rotation.

Zoup Zoup Zoup! It’s just such a fun name to say. The vibe and menu offerings are very similar to that of a Panera. They have a selection of the 12 soups that they rotate every day and you can see their updated menus online. They also have a small selection of sandwiches and salads. You order first in line and then they call out your name when the food is ready and you pick it up from the counter. You sample all the soups you want until your hearts content so that’s always a nice option. I got the Chicken Pot Pie with half a salad Sonoma salad which is a spring mix, gorgonzola cheese, cranberries & toasted almonds with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The chicken pot pie soup was decent. Just take the insides of regular pot pie and put it into a cup and they garnish it with pie crust crumbles. It was good, just not overly different from any other soups i’ve had. Salad was just okay, it didn’t really taste too fresh and the dressing was a little bit too sweet. I think next time I’ll just stick to a bigger serving of the soup.

I was pretty bummed with my visit here yesterday. I had raved to my Mom about my positive experiences at the McPherson Square location in DC and was excited to show her a good new healthy spot for her to make a lunchtime staple. I had been there a handful of times and always enjoyed the soups and salads. I learned my lesson to STICKWITHSOUPANDSALAD. We both found our sandwiches to be incredibly underwhelming. We both ordered a half sandwich and cup of soup. Our soups– she had the North Lentil Indian soup and I ordered a soup with chicken, kale and bean(forgot the name). We enjoyed them both, they were healthy and flavorful. I remember getting a chicken chili that I enjoyed a lot more when I had gone in DC. Our sandwiches were a different story. Thinking it would pair nicely with the soup, I ordered the four cheese melt, which was supposed to be served on ciabatta. The cheese was completely melted down to one blob and the bread honestly seemed more like a plain toasted sub roll, very dry. There was nothing else on the sandwich. My mom had the Chicken Green Wrap, which was supposed to be served on a «multigrain flatbread wrap.» It was just a plain wrap. And the«tzatziki sauce,» which she claims tasted like store-bought Italian dressing, overpowered the otherwise plain sandwich that had way more veggies than meat. Our soups were served with bread, which was better than the sandwiches. Pretty small space and it was quite packed, but nice ambiance. The service was also very good, the cashier was helpful and friendly. I need to take her back so we can order salads and soup and skip the sandwiches.

Nice place with yummy soup. 12 different soups that rotate daily. Also sandwiches and salads. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. Tried the Cobb salad which was kicked up a little with the addition of dill. Also had the chicken pot pie soup which was creamy with large pieces of white meat chicken, veggies, and crumb topping. Bonus– you can sample as many soups as you like prior to ordering. Will definitely be back to see what else Zoup has to offer. :)

Good choices so far and a friendly staff that is willing to allow a sample of anything. The side salads can use a bit more bulk but hey, you’re here for the soup, right? So far, I have been three days out of three possible days opened and each soup I’ve tried has been better than the last. They also promise at least one dairy free option each day, and their allergen sensitivity is better, and clearer to understand, than most. Now, as much as I am glad that they rotate the soups down to a dozen, which gives it a fresh take each day, I am disappointed that the salad and sandwich choices are not rotating the same way. I hope that in the future there are at least some salad and sandwich choices that will change, perhaps chicken salad, roast beef, or a cuban? Overall, a fresh new addition to the casual-fast options in the west end. I know the upside of having all of these new restaurants(and several more in the works according to local sources), mean that some old favorites might be biting the competitive dust soon, but I think the positive may be outweighing the negative, as I can entertain guests with confidence that their culinary needs will be more than met.

A new soup spot to add to my list when I’m craving the comfort of a warm bowl of goodness. Zoup has a large menu of soups that rotate daily, 12 each day, along with some sandwich and salad options. Could be a mission to sample all of them… dun dun dun!!! Potato Cheddar Soup: Wonderful balance of potato and cheddar here. This creamy soup has bites of potato, carrots, onion and celery. This is the ultimate comfort food! El Grande Chili: Beef chili with veggies and beans, classic and satisfying. This chili has just enough kick to not be boring. White Chicken Chili:(3÷19÷2014) Tomato based chili with chicken instead of beef. A great option if you don’t want red meat. It had some wonderful flavor and spice to it. Side note, the bowls are huge and I’ve not been able to finish it in one sitting yet. I look forward to updating as I sample more of the menu!
