My Flower Box Events

It was very disturbing to me that I never once saw a sample of any of the flowers we were choosing for my wedding. We would’ve had to pay for that. They also never asked for our budget so after talking about a million different flowers which went right over my head, they sent a quote for over $ 13,000!!! INSANITY. When I finally got a proposal in line with my budget — it was 2 weeks before the wedding and then it was an emergency to get them a payment. The arrangements for the center pieces were beautiful but my bouquet and the bridal party’s flowers were HORRIBLE. My bouquet was falling apart the minute I received it. It left a trail of flowers EVERYWHERE I went. My husband’s boutonnière fell apart BEFORE he walked down the aisle. Every photo now has him wearing HALF an Orchid. To top it all off — the colors were wrong. We got married at Ravens stadium and I wanted Ravens purple — and I was VERY vocal about this. The purple orchids were gorgeous but the rest of the flowers were LAVENDER. NOT ROYAL PURPLE and many of them were actually turning BROWN — so much so that my photographer even commented on how horrible they looked. I do not recommend.

The flowers for our wedding were perfect, exactly what I asked for. While we originally didn’t want to have as many flowers as we were quoted, they turned out beautifully and really enhanced our wedding. So very impressed with the arrangements, and we continue to get compliments from anyone who sees our pictures! Thank you Kim & Kathy!

I would think twice about My Flower Box. Like a previous reviewer, I had an appointment with Kim and she never showed up. My family and I drove from Northern Virginia, in the snow, to make this appointment. We waited for 30 minutes. Finally, another designer, Dave, came over and talked to us about what we wanted for our wedding. He was very nice and helpful, and we appreciated that he jumped in during Kim’s unexplained absence. When we were finished, he said it would be three weeks before we’d get a proposal. Three weeks?! He did mention that in order to secure the date, we should get a deposit in ASAP. Two other florists we visited that day entered our order into their computers and we had their proposals instantly. The next day I emailed Dave with a few questions and updates regarding our order. It’s been a week and I still haven’t received a response. We’ve already decided to use another florist. The people at My Flower Box seem more interested in themselves than they do their clients. If you need flowers for any event, check out Dundalk Florist or Floral Impressions — both very good florists, very responsive, and client-​focused. I certainly cannot say the same thing about My Flower Box Events.

Kim and I had an appointment scheduled, she canceled that appointment and we finally made a new one. When I showed up, no one was there. I called the store and her cell phone several times and no one answered. It has been about a week and I have not heard a response. very unprofessional.
