I travel a long distance to visit Dr. Bylis but I am grateful to have found him and would gladly travel farther. He is excellent at what he does and is careful to avoid causing pain. Last year, I began working through a treatment plan with the practice… but learned that I was expecting and simply could not continue. A year later, with baby safe and sound at home, the office called to follow-up because the records showed that I never had my cavities filled. I did return, and the doctor was kind and professional despite my long absence. I value that since I once went to a doctor who was highly offended with my Mom over her long absence from his practice. Despite the fact that I had cancelled her appointments in the proper manner, he was insulted. He did not ask how she had been doing… and apparently did not care. During that long absence, Mom was undergoing cancer treatment, experiencing horrible trouble with memory and cognition due to a toxic buildup of one of her regular meds, and much more. So much for compassion. Before I ever met Dr. Bylis, my young son took a horrible fall at home, knocking out one tooth and pushing another one out of place. I called my son’s dentist and a few others on a Saturday. My son’s dentist would not see him(Camps Pediatric Dental Center). Another dentist also declined to handle the emergency because he was not being treated by the practice. The others that I called did not call back… with the exception of Dr. Bylis… and he doesn’t even treat small children!!! I ended up taking my little guy to Children’s Hospital… but I was still thankful to talk with Dr. Bylis regarding the incident and what to expect afterward. When I went to Dr. Bylis for a personal appointment, he even allowed me to bring my son into the examining room so that he could look at his gums and give me an opinion on how he was progressing, That’s true kindness… and not to be glossed over. I will never forget it. Dr, Bylis came highly recommended by one of the best orthodontists in Maryland, Dr. Steven Siegel(also in Glen Burnie), and I am thankful to God for that. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have had a fear and distrust of dentists for many many years. My last experience was a nightmare. Dr. Bylis was recommended to me by multiple people. It took me about 6 months to get the courage to try one more dentist. I went mainly because I had a crown break off. Not only did Dr Bylis fix my crown, he explained everything to me and helped to put my fears at bay. He and his staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable and respected my fears. After doing a complete assessment of my mouth, he validated me for what I had been through over the years with poor dental work. In June 2014 we began having a full upper permanent denture done at his office. He spent 11 hours working on my mouth and made sure that I was comfortable physically and emotionally. His staff is unlike any staff i have encountered. They understood my fear and went out of their way to make a traumatic experience bearable. Being in the medical field myself, it says a lot about a physician who has staff that has been with him for 14 — 25 years. There is no staff turnover like I have seen in other practices. That speaks volumes to me. I would highly recommend Dr Bylis for anyone looking for excellence in care. He has the knowledge, compassion, patience and a remarkable staff. If you want the best in dentistry, than Dr Bylis is the one. For the first time, in many years, I am not afraid to go to the dentist. Never thought that would happen.

Dr. Bylis and his Staff are wonderful. He is the absolute best dentist I have ever been too. I recommend him to everyone. Dr Bylis did the composite veneers for both myself and my husband and we could not be happier.
