I haven’t had T-Mobile service in years, never could get a signal where I lived so I had to sign up with another cell phone service. My mother on the other hand has been with T-Mobile since it was Voicestream and hasn’t really had any problems. But the service in this store is pretty much nonexistent. I was helping my mother pick out a new phone, she wanted to upgraded from her Razor flip phone which should be in a museum somewhere. She wanted a smart phone and wanted something easy to use as her first smart phone. Well I’m glad I did my research, none of the employees knew that much about the products they were selling. I knew alot more then they did and had other customers asking me questions about some of the phones once they realized the employees didn’t know anything. Don’t show up here on a weekend, not even in the morning when the mall first opens. My mother and I decided on a Samsung Galaxy S II for her phone. She loved the phone but while at work in Columbia she couldn’t get any service. Some of her coworkers have AT&T, Verizon and Sprint and their phones worked fine but my mothers T-Mobile phone was pretty much a paper weight while at work. We went to take it back and you have a 10 day grace period of when you can bring it back. Of course she was charged with a $ 50 restocking fee which no one said anything to us when we were buying it. It would have been ok if someone mentioned it ahead of time and of course the employees working couldn’t do anything about it since the manager was on vacation. We paid the restocking fee and quickly left and I took her to AT&T and got her an iPhone which she loves. The gentleman checking us out at T-Mobile was very nice and he actually knew all about the contracts and the different plans which is why I gave this place 2 stars instead of one. He did forget to tell us about the restocking fee and really didn’t know the phones that they are selling just like the rest of the employees. Do your homework and know the product your selling instead of reading the description of the phone that’s on the display cases.
