After three diverticulitis attacks this year I was referred to Dr. Cifello. During the consultation Dr. Cifello was very thorough and explained my options and his recommendation for treatment. Dr. Cifello performed a laproscopic colon resection on me in early November. The surgery went very well with only a two night stay in the hospital. I just had my three week post op follow up with excellent progress. Dr. Cifello is an amazing surgeon and takes the time to explain everything and listens to your concerns. I highy recommend Dr. Cifello if you are ever in need of a colon rectal surgeon!

Dr. Cifello is a surgeon who obviously loves being a surgeon. He diagnosed a problem that had been misdiagnosed for over five months and quickly scheduled surgery. My life is back on track.

My PCP recommended this doctor to me due to some issues I was having. It was so bad that I ended up in the ER at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, which they didn’t do anything for me except give me pain pills and waste my time. Then while at work the plan was so bad again, I ended up getting an emergency appointment with a doctor in DC near my job who gave me two different meds within two weeks (both didn’t work). When I went into Dr. Cifello office, he performed an exam and said I needed to have surgery. My out patient procedure was scheduled about two weeks later. As of today, it has been over a year, and I feel amazing. No more pain due to the medical issue I had.

Dr. Cifello is fantastic. He is thorough and meticulous. He did an iliostomy reversal for me back in August and took excellent care of me. I’d recommend him for any colorectal surgery needs.
