Sweeties Fine Chocolate & Confections

We just had a baby shower at Sweeties and everything was perfect! Gina and her staff were so accommodating and did everything to make sure the shower was a success. And, of course, the cupcakes were delicious! Highly, highly recommend having any event at Sweeties!

Sweeties has party space that can be reserved for a reasonable price. Before the party Gina was very helpful. That’s where the positives end. The day of, one of the workers came by to help and that was about it. Someone at one point came by to slam the party room doors closed because our party must have been too loud. Normal party noise, nothing crazy. I had gone out to grab something from my car to hear Gina make some negative comment about not running a day care. If there were concerns a proper business owner could have addressed this with us. There were two kiddos that were a little rambunctious but they settled down when asked. Not sure where the attitude came from but if you don’t want children parties at a candy store you should probably mention that up front. You’ve lost my business. I can get better candy elsewhere and have it served with a smile not a snarky attitude.

It’s a candy and chocolate place that is also for cupcakes, box lunches, gift baskets, and even jewelry. It’s in a beautiful new building in a dreamy, forested area of Glen Carbon, relatively close to bike paths and residential areas, but not much else. If the coffee was a little better, with a real barista and all, it might become a destination.
