Very nice little store! We were just browsing and didn’t end up buying any books, but the snacks were delicious and the staff was friendly. This is primarily a religious store, so I could see coming back again near the holidays for some gift shopping instead.

I started going to the GLY Café recently to support local business as opposed to corporate franchises like DD and Starbucks.
GLY’s café offers excellent coffee and tea choices — freshly made and organic. I’m partial to the Liliukalani tea, a black tea with tropical fruit infusion. Doesn’t even need sugar. Also enjoy the iced mocha coffee. Bakery items & snacks are always fresh and I’ve never had a clunker. Today I tried the oatmeal and was very pleased with the texture – obviously from scratch. I had fruit/​veg juice there a while back and that was freshly made and organic too. Good stuff! There are smoothies too, but I haven’t tried those.
There are tables/​chairs or a couch and easy chairs where you can take your time and catch up on reading or conversation. Staff members are very accommodating and go out of their way to serve.
