Disappointed. We have ordered from this restaurant numerous times but tonight our Oder was incomplete. We ordered delivery and only received half our order. Order was missing Miso soup and two rolls. Apparently there is a disconnect between iOS ordering and the actual execution of orders. We used to recommend this place but no longer. Too many sushi places in town to order and not be guaranteed what you are receiving. Move on.

I think I hate the manager of this place more than I have hated any other restaurant employee in my life. It’s a pure, seething, boiling hatred. I am amazed at my own capacity to hate a person THISMUCH. In fact, the scenario I am about to explain to you actually happened two weeks ago, but I was unable to write a review until now, due to the fact that I was blinded and paralyzed by hate and rage. I went to this restaurant with my family and another family, who happened to be extremely loyal regulars until the pulsing, bubbling, extreme hatred overtook us all. My husband always orders an ikura hand roll at every sushi restaurant he goes to on planet earth. It always tastes as expected; he always enjoys it. However, on this fateful Evening of Newly Acquired Rage, he received an ikura hand roll that tasted like licking a toilet in a subway station bathroom. He politely told the waitress that he thought there might be something wrong with the ikura, that it was perhaps spoiled in some way. She removed the ikura hand roll from the table. Thirteen seconds later, the manager appeared, wielding the very ikura hand roll that my husband sent back in the name of Repulsiveness, and that’s when the blathering began. I have no f-ing clue what she said, but it contained hits such as: «Depends on brand of fish eggs» «Taste varies from fish to fish» «The taste is different depending if the eggs are from a male or female, this fish or that fish» She finished her senseless rant with«so there’s nothing wrong with it.» My husband explained once again that he eats this all the time and THEREISSOMETHINGWRONGWITHTHISONEFORTHELOVEOFGODGETITAWAYFROMME. The meal was otherwise enjoyable. But then, the bill came. On the bill, yes… It’s true. We were being charged for the Toilet Bowl Ikura Roll From Hell. We said, «hey uhhhhh… can you take the ikura hand roll off the bill? We returned it in the name of Grossness» She said she would take it off«this time» but only because our friends were regulars. She made this boneheaded statement directly to my friend, who told her«no, you need to take this off the bill because it was returned to you as unsatisfactory» He just about squeezed this sentence out, because she was a relentless, disgusting, senseless, arrogant tornado of interruptions. She said she would never refund it normally because there was«nothing wrong with her fish.» And just like that, ANOTHER restaurant employee in Glen Cove whose eyes I am going to have to fart in. I’m telling you, I don’t have time for this. The area has plenty of good and reputable sushi restaurants, and the overrated, bonehead-run turd hut of Hazuki can take their absurd policies(and spoiled ikura) and go directly to hell. No passing Go, no $ 200. GTFO you smug, arrogant losers.

So there was this one time i went to this place and ordered an ikura hand roll. It was SO gross. After i tried to explain this to the rude, pushy, arrogant manager, she tried to charge me for it anyway. It was eventually removed from the bill but not before losing potentially hundreds of dollars worth of business. For $ 6.95, the manager insisted there was nothing wrong with her stank ass salmon roe and was incdedibly rude to us, her customers. Just comp that ish, bish. Why u gotta fight? I order this all the time from other places and it is always good. Doesn’t matter if the fish is a male(as the manager put it, lol), female, or otherwise. I ordered the same thing from another sushi restaurant in town and it was on point. Great job on driving your customers away. See you never!

I’m not one to leave terrible reviews but after tonight’s experience, it’s a must! Hubby and I came here for dinner tonight. Our waitress kept rushing us to make an order which I felt was very rude. There were BUGS crawling all over the soy sauce bottles. Our food tasted bland and the sushi rolls were extremely tiny tonight. Throughout our meal, more flies and bugs kept flying around us to the point it was impossible to enjoy our dinner and once the bugs and flies started crawling in OURFOOD, we knew it was time to go. The manager was extremely rude about the situation, with a big smile on her face she informed us she adds a «special ingredient» to her soy sauce so it’s only natural that bugs will appear. I’ve never heard of anything as ridiculous. She proceeded to yell at us asking what we expect her to do. We walked out and will never return again. I do not recommend this poor excuse of «restaurant» to anyone!

Food is average but the service is just horrible! When dining out, I expect the experience to be on par meaning attentive service and food presented at reasonable times. The place is just too under staffed and can’t keep up with the traffic which causes dining customers to wait extensive amounts of time for their food and many times serving incorrect orders. It really is a shame though because overall the food is decent for this area.

I order for lunch special all the time because it is local to work. the prices for lunch are great but the fish doesn’t always come fresh. lately the rolls have been coming out smaller and skimpier… we are really in a recession

I ordered take out and they either got the order wrong(which I imagine is hard since it is a written order placed online) or this restaurant is under the impression shirataki noodles are the same as udon(which is unacceptable since udon is Japanese food 101). Either way. …no udon = not happy.

The salmon and tuna sashimi was amazing. Large pieces, very fresh. The rolls were pretty good(I was expecting more from the Godzilla honestly), but the presentation of them was super impressive. LED lights under a bed of ice with sushi on top. Kind of over the top, but interesting. Really creative. The place was very quiet around 7:30 on a Wednesday night, only one other table occupied the whole time. The server was friendly and attentive. I’d recommend it and certainly go back for that sashimi.

AVOIDTHETHAIMENU!!! AVOIDIT! IMWARNINGYOU! I had to throw away my pad Thai and my coworker. Idk what she did with her shrimp dish off the Thai menu. The sushi is pretty awesome though! It’s much better than Asian fusion and I think it’s good enough. It’s 50% off anyway. They take a while to make your order though. I don’t mind. They haven’t messed up my order… Please stay the way you are, Hazuki!

Not a fancy sushi place, but you could have dinner here and not feel you’re eating fast food. The price is excellent, and the quality of the food has been quite good every time I’ve gone. There’s a good selection of specialty rolls, in addition to the basics, and there is also hot food like teriyaki and recently they’ve added hibachi. The drinks selection is also good, with beer, wine, and saki all available. In my opinion, it’s the about the best bet for sushi in the area.

We have been ordering delivery from this place for years. They used to be good, but now they are AWFUL. Tonight we had an experience so bad we have officially vowed never to order from there again. We called in our usual order, and the lady who took our order told us it would be delivered in 30 minutes. When an hour went by and we still hadn’t gotten our food, I called up to ask where it was. The phone girl was super rude and sounded annoyed that I had called, and told me that the guy would be there any minute before hanging up on me. Another 20 minutes later, I called back because the food still was not there. The phone girl said that she already told me it’s on the way, and kept interrupting me and talking over me. I told her if the food did not arrive within the next 5 minutes, I wanted to cancel the order(I called in the order at 7:30, it was almost 9:00!!!). She just kept yelling over me, I asked to speak to the manager and she said she WAS the manager, and then that she was the owner! I told her that I can’t believe an owner would speak to a customer that way and asked her if she thought it was fair to charge full price for food that is almost an hour late? She said yes without hesitation. I told her that’s terrible customer service and she said«well what do you want me to do, I told you the driver left, I’m not the driver so why are you asking me.» I told her I would wait 5 minutes more and then hung up. THANKGOD the food arrived shortly after — we were incredibly hungry, and tired of arguing with that horrible woman. Food was room temperature(sushi should be cold!) and just okay. SODISAPPOINTED. This sealed the deal for us. Delivery took forever, phone girl/manager/owner is world’s rudest human, and food was mediocre at best. We will NEVER order again.

Ordered and picked up lunch today(sushi sashimi combo) and we were all nicely surprised. The sashimis were nicely cut, large slices, and the sushis were equally prepared with decent size fish slices over just enough rice. That is our first shot there and we will definitely retry it within the next weeks. Fish looked really fresh and tasted great. This place might be included as one of our new lunch option in the area. Nice discovery.

Pleasantly surprised! I’m a sushi fanatic and very picky when it comes to where I eat it. Thought I’d give them a shot after a bad experience at another local sushi place! Lots of creative choices, they also have some Thai options, and the fish is definitely fresh!

Hazuki is a little piece of heaven from japan in a shopping center in Glen Cove, New York. I’ve eaten in Japanese restaurants all over the world and this is my all time favorite. Even Ny city’s Nobu doesn’t hold a candle to this one We started with a lychee sake and them a double deck tuna tarta which was amazing Then the freshest and amazing eclectic sushi My wife had a basil chicken dish and I a Crispy Thai duck and both were amazing Don’t worry about crowds because this gem of a restaurant hasn’t been discovered yet. If you want something extraordinary in culinary delectability this is it

Ordered no rice for my maki rolls as I eat low carb, they charge an additional dollar per roll to remove the rice and there ended up being some rice in them anyway. The sushi itself was fresh and tasted fine, but they don’t handle requests well.

I went to this restaurant thinking there would be creative Asian fusion dishes. Instead I had the weirdest dining experience. There is a sketchy sign outside offering sushi half off. The second my sister and I walked in the door the waitress barked at us. Then she rushed us through the order so she could help other people and was rude to my sister in order to hurry up the order. Our salad did not have any carrots. The sushi was delicious however the ambiance and waitress ruined the overall experience.

I’ve been here a few times now. Admittedly, I’m not a *real* sushi eater, but I do eat shrimp, crab, lobster and other cooked items. The presentations and service is always above par – other restaurants should take note. The food is good, fresh and very reasonable. The good service alone will have me coming back and they will accommodate any kind of roll you like.

I was in Glen Cove from LA for a family wedding last week and I friend suggested we go here. I was a little dubious because LA knows more than a little something about sushi, but I grew up in Glen Cove and always try to support local businesses, so I agreed. Hazuki is tucked away in a little corner of a shopping center where we as kids, used to go for local pizza so it was a little weird to walk past the old haunt and into a sushi place as a grown-up, but my friend said I wouldn’t be disappointed. I wasn’t. Hazuki is a little treasure. I expected the typical screens by the doors and curtains over the doors, plinky music and other Japanese-related knick-knacks and dark décor I had seen in other Sushi restaurants in the area. Hazuki is fresh and modern and just a little zen-classy. The sushi bar is very pretty, the tables are along the opposite wall, everything felt clean and well lit and friendly. I could have been back in LA. But I wasn’t going to let appearances deceive me, so we sat down and ordered… actually we let the chef order for us. We asked if they could make us their favorite things, they happily obliged and pretty quickly some delightful food sailed to our table. These were not your typical spicytunayellowtailcucumberwithatinybitofsesameseedkindofrolls. No. We had something like Mango avocado with deep fried eel and spicy shrimp and avocado topped with spicy mayo, lobster tempura with cream cheese(cream cheese!!!) with avocado and mango salsa and something… I’m not sure what, that came on, of all things, a pringle potato chip. And I’m telling you — it was good. It was all good. It was fresh, it was tasty and all of the combinations had wonderful layers of flavors — and you can taste all of them… unless of course, you add wasabe to your soy sauce and drench your rolls in it. Then, well, you know… I have to say I was more than a little surprised with the whole experience. Who’d have thought in my little home town I could find a place that would have equaled anything I have found in my adopted city. Next time you are in Glen Cove, or if you live there I would suggest walking past the old pizza joint and head to Hazuki. I almost can’t wait for the next family wedding to bring me back home… almost.
