Loved this place — I would tell you what I ate but cannot remember. And unfortunately no menu on the website. However — it’s great. My cousin’s and a friend went here, brought some wine with us and had a fabulous meal. Great service, nice room, good atmosphere. Great variety of food selection and wines by the glass. I had some whites that I really enjoyed because my cousin’s only drink red. Excellent experience.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Olive and Vine. We arrived earlier than our reserved time and they still sat us quickly and at a good table. They customized our menus and dessert for our anniversary. It was such a nice gesture! The food was fantastic. We ordered their special – the Grilled Ahi Tuna and for dessert, the flourless walnut cake and chocolate trio. It was really a great experience. Will definitely be back!

The best food, service, and ambiance in Sonoma Valley! I love the communal feel of the large dinning room. It’s not stuffy, dark and quiet like many of the restaurants that attempt to serve this level of cuisine. Best spot in town for date night with the babe, but I think I prefer sitting at the long center table with 9 friends. Wednesday neighborhood nights are awesome — with a different(and always delicious) 2 course prefix for $ 30 and free corkage. Ask for Maya to be your server if you can!

This place was amazing!!! First, they accommodated a big crowd with two little girls. Second, the food was incredible. The amuse bouchée was mouth watering and the Cesar salad was the best I’ve ever had. Lastly, the owners were constantly checking in with us to make sure we were receiving the best care possible! We could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you for helping make our wonderful reunion that much more spectacular! We can’t wait to be back!!! The Joslyn Ladies

The ambiance is romantic & candle lit. The service is kind and attentive. The food has stellar flavors. Jazz music relaxing… festive atmosphere… Not to be missed if in Glen Ellen! Addendum: returned for second visit 2 nights later. Food was again above and beyond. Was greeted by the owner and her lovely daughter. Kind, courteous & culinary craftsmanship beyond compare… So come!

Rustic and chic at its very best. Great atmosphere, open kitchen, and good service. Such a wonderful dinner! Everything was very fresh and nothing was too heavy or rich. We started off black cod and bok choy dumplings. I mean lemongrass kaffir lime broth? Amazing. The spring market salad was also light and refreshing with a meyer lemon vinaigrette. The soup of the day was the most delicious asparagus soup I’ve ever had. Yummy main courses included: Meyer lemon and sage roasted chicken and the risotto Desserts: flourless walnut cake with marscapone chantilly cream and caramel(soft and not too sweet) and the baked hot chocolate with espresso whipped cream(DIVINE)

We were here last night for Wednesday«Neighborhood Night». We have been here for other Neighborhood Nights and wanted to give a report. First off, the restaurant is very attractive and comfortable. Very high ceilings, almost a barn like structure but very well appointed. A large open kitchen is at the rear of the room. The Wednesday Neighborhood Night is a very good deal, two courses, typically a salad and main course for $ 28.00. Also free corkage on Wednesday adding to the excellent value. Last night we started with Steakhouse Salad, Arugula, Spinach, Shaft’s Blue Cheese, Crimson Tomato & Red Wine Oregano Vinaigrette. Really nice salad. fresh and flavorful. Entrée was Steak & Frites, Char Grilled Niman Ranch Flap Steak with Green Garlic Butter, Grilled Spring Onions, Savoy Slaw, & Housemade Catsup. Perfect medium rare, tasty and good sized portion. Frites were hand cut and crispy. Slaw sounds simple but had julienne apples, carrots and a good dose of horseradish. Yum! We shared a dessert which was also very good, Pear Hazelnut Bread Pudding with Salted Caramel & Mascarpone Chantilly. The quaint little town of Glen Ellen has several excellent restaurants and Olive & Vine is one of them.

Yet another in a long line of restaurants hailed as «The Best in Sonoma» to underwhelm. Great, personalized service, including a fairly lengthy chat with the Chef/Owner, who was really nice. Although, upon further reflection, the hostess seemed totally unready for prime time. Couldn’t find my reservation, couldn’t seem to work the phone, couldn’t recall if there was seating at the bar(hint: there was no one sitting at the bar.) I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was her first day. But otherwise, nothing particularly stood out about my visit, except for a $ 160 bill(just me, mind you, although I did have three glasses of wine). I started with the black cod and bok choy dumplings which were really tasty. Next I had a wild mushroom soup that was WAY too earthy. Yeah, I know that mushrooms grow in the dirt, but would rather not be reminded of the fact with each bite. Finally, I had whatever the fish was that day. Branzino maybe? This is going back a few weeks, and I can’t really recall, but I DO recall thinking it was just meh.
