Okay, seriously… who wants to go here? I was freaking out because I got the dreaded call from school that one of my children needed to be picked up. Ugh!!! I called Shiny Strands and they got us in right away. They did checks on our entire family. Luckily it was contained to the one child and there was only one bug and that’s it. (Praise the Lord!). They called in other ladies so we’d be done quickly (only took 1 hour for 3 head checks and 1 treatment). I would definitely go back but I hope I don’t need to.

I am so grateful that Shiny Srtands exist! They were able to get us in right away. Educated us on entire process and put us to ease. They combed through both my daughter and my hair. To my surprise my daughter was clean and I had 8 eggs. So if not for Shiny Strands we would have had another episode of lice in the house. Hope these little buggers are gone for good. Thanks again. I will highly recommend you ! The Barrington location ROCKS!!!

Hooray for Sandy and Dee Dee at Shiny Strands! As a preschool teacher, it was inevitable that I would be the lucky recipient of a beautiful head full of lice. Eeeek! Also it had to happen when I am pregnant and unable to use the harsh shampoos to kill the lice. After unsuccessfully using olive oil and Vaseline (note to everyone in the world: NEVER put Vaseline in your hair), I finally called Sandy to make an appointment. Sandy was nice enough to reschedule my crazy butt three times, and also gave me great advice to try to get rid of the Vaseline. When I got there, I was seated promptly on time and greeted by both Sandy and my beautician Dee Dee. Dee Dee was thorough with combing out my hair without harsh chemicals (she only spritzed water) and really pleasant to talk to. And she only took 30 minutes to go through my thick hair twice! The day after, I called Sandy to email me a release to go back to work and I received the email within minutes! Kudos to the amazing staff and their proficiency. Although I loved the experience, I hope I never have to see them again!!! :)
