You can’t go wrong with a Carvel ice cream cake. I have been here twice within one week for my father’s birthday and stepson’s birthday. I love fudge. but my pops and stepson do not like fudge. Can you imagine the pain I had to go through looking at all of those fudge cakes and not choosing any of them??? I eventually got them what I thought they would like and they loved it (with champagne of course). Watch. I’ll be back for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and my birthday in November… to get Fudgie the whale or something. The rep. here was so friendly and patient while I chose the two cakes. The place is kept very clean!

WOW! Best ice cream in Glen Oaks, I love Carvel! They offer good price, great ice cream, good service. Very nice people. So if you are looking for good ice cream on Hillside Ave with great and quick service this place is a must go! I have tried few flavors here and everything that I have tried was pretty darn good. I will recommend this place to all my friends. Too bad I don’t come to this neighbourhood too often nowadays. My compliments to this place — it’s a 5 star. AMAAAAAaaaZZZZING!

Old fashioned Ice Cream shops are hard to find in this day and age of hyped up frozen yogurt treats.
This place is right on Hillside Ave, a very busy street which I drive past pretty often. The place is very spaced out with a variety of ice cream pints, sandwiches, and ice cream bars placed around the wall. The ice cream cakes are placed in the center of the store. There are a few tables if you’re going to be bringing your family and friends to hang out on a hot summer day or during the winter, it’s never too cold for ice cream!
They have special sometimes, like Wednesdays buy one pint of low fat ice cream get one free. Deals might change every so often.
Master and Visa only, no Amex cards are accepted.
Staff is fast, friendly and efficient. Parking in the rear of the building.
