Hillside Beer & Soda Distributor

Ok, I almost never post reviews anywhere, but I had a really bad experience at this place… A few days before Christmas eve I needed to buy a bunch of cases of beer since we were hosting Christmas eve at our house, and I have a huge family so I needed a lot of beer, I found these guys online and since it is one of the closest ones to where we live I thought I would give them a shot… I stopped at the place and bought 6 cases of beer, mostly coronas, when I started putting the beers in the fridge I noticed most of the bottles had some greasy stuff all over them and it actually smelled weird, but I though: ok maybe they spilled something on them at the warehouse and a good wipe out on them would do it… so we went through the night drinking those beers, but I started noticing that some of my guests didn’t drink them, as well as one of them telling me they tasted weird, after looking and smelling the greasy stuff I want to think it was part of the same beer It could be that they were too old because they also had a flat taste and we could not find an expiration date on them, anyways, at the end of the night I still had about 2 and a half cases of beer left, the next day I open one and it was the same story, tasted flat and smelled, with the greasy stuff all over it. So I decided to go back to the place and see what they would do for me…
When I got the place I started telling them what was wrong with the beer and why I was there seeking a solution… not only I was put in a bad position with my guests but I had to go back and waste my time and gas, so the owner comes out and starts accusing me of having those beers stored in a restaurant and he claimed that is how those beers got to the stage they were… I said «I don’t have a restaurant I had them in my house for 6 days and we don’t even cook» so then he claimed that I have friends that have restaurants and that is how I was trying to exchange bad beer for good beer; I am not sure where and how he came up with those assumptions but he had a nasty attitude towards me, he told me that because there was a rule that corona had just passed where corona won’t take any product back and that was why I was trying to return the beer to him from a friend’s restaurant… I said «but I don’t know what you are talking about» he kept telling me that he knew I was trying to return bad beer I didn’t buy there… I guess my ethnic looks hinted him that I could potentially be a scammer or someone that makes a living by going to beer distributors and exchange bad beer cases for good beer cases for the exact same price? and I was like «and what do I make out of this»?
So I just wanted to say, that is a horrible way to treat your customers just because they don’t look white.

My husband and I used Hillside to supply beer, lemonade, and other beverages for our wedding at the nearby Queens Farm. Joseph was AWESOME and helped us to get two kegs of our favorite beers. Their staff arrived early to set up the kegs on-​site, and also provided all the necessary ice, even for our wine and champagne. Fantastic service! The prices for the kegs were slightly higher than some other wholesalers we found, but their service was worth it.

This is a fairly standard beer distributor. There’s a few good craft beer selections here, but nothing too impressive. They also don’t carry too much of a variety of craft beer. I guess this is why they don’t have a BeerMenu’s page. Some of the bottles were really old too. This place is fine if you’re looking for your standard lagers. It’s also really nice looking inside. One of the nicest beer distributors I’ve seen. Given my proclivity for craft beer though, I likely won’t be back. Especially considering there’s plenty of great options in a 2 mile radius.

These guys are awesome! They have almost everything, and can get everything inside of a week. They delivered to my wedding location, about 25 minutes away, for FREE. Great service. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Super happy working with them.

Wow, they do have a great selection of beer here. You should be able to find any beer that you are looking for at this distributor. Upon walking in was greeted and asked if I needed any help! Made suggestions on alternatives and things to try. The customer service here is great, in a day and age where it no longer exists. Parking is also easy.
If you live in this area, I would recommend going to Hillside for your beer needs!

A really great beer distributor with a varied and abundant selection. They carry everything from Budweiser to Zwiec. Good location. Easy parking. Excellent service and very polite and knowledgeable staff. Their prices are competitivve and they are willing to order andything for you if they do not currently carry it.

This is an old fashioned NY beer distributor. Their selection is terrific, but more importantly, the people who work here are super friendly. Always quick to carry stuff out to your car or help you find what you’re looking for. Was looking to pick up a six pack to enjoy with dinner tonight, decided to drive the extra 5 minutes to come here and they really proved me right! Customer service is still alive and Hillside beer Distributors know it.
